You've started a trend MG!! The garden planning sounds like a lot of fun. Hope the carpenter comes soon to finish up for you. Can't wait to see more before and after pics on the blog :j
Kittikins - how wonderful for you, *huge* congratulations!!!
Groatie - got my fingers crossed for your viewers
Claudiac - you've done loads today - awesome!
Well I finished Springboard today (and even got a certificate, woohoo!). Then I went into town to Dorothy Perkins. They have 25% off this week with a "VIP" voucher from the DP Codes thread. I got 2 tops and a jersey jackety thing, which is great! I never seem to find stuff that looks even half decent. I also had a £5 voucher from the weird McCain site (like a mini Pigsback). I got the three items for £60, but even that felt like a bit much :rotfl:
The sofa bed is being picked up tomorrow. I am *so excited*. I think I got it so cheap because the pictures are terrible. After losing out on a few I was willing to take a risk. I can't recall who recommended Shiply to me on the 'other side' but I am getting the sofa bed moved from Kingston to East London and it's only costing me the princely sum of £33! Thank you so much:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Boultdj - ~Thank you for the advice on the mirror. I will be attempting it later today, got to work first. I will be so happy to get the bathroom finished.
Lara - Congratulations on finishing the Springboard course, another string to your bow!! Good to get a bargain too.
Next on my agenda is to swop rooms with my DD so have decluttered my room, just going to sleep on the sofa bed for a week to give me free reign on when I work. Need to strip the woodchip from the walls first but that is about the worst job on the list so will do that first. Just hoping the plaster underneath stays where it is!

Well done Lara - hope it fits perfectly in the space.
DS1 is back in bed - you could fry eggs on him!! S I shall be confined to barracks today. So I hereby nominate today as my first "Anti-procrastination" day of February.
So got my list, got my timer and a fat red pen for ticking everything off. All those "Meh!" jobs are going to be tackled today with, if not lots of enthusiasm at least lots of energy.
On my marks, get set, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wooohoooo!!!
Ratting through my list - have even made pancakes seeing as it is Shrove Tuesday.
For years (well since I was last in the states) have craved the buttery, vanilla syrup you get in the pancake shops over there - well, TADAAAAAAAAA I think I may have cracked it !!!
If you fancy a go, use the recipe and let me know how it works out for you ( recipe and pics on you know where LOL), but I am off to get DS2 from playgroup and we are definitely having these little babies for lunch

Morning all,
Anyone know how long it takes to roast a chicken 1.6kg? I'm so afraid it's going to be over/under doneNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
hour and a half should do it. 20 mins per lb plus 20 mins and allowing 450 g per lb (that's not strictly right but it's close enough for these purposes) works out at 91 minutesIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0
