I think they've nicked the content to get the google results they need to make money from the ads. Controlling copyright online is a difficult thing to do, but I'm sure MSE will have the necessary resources.

Well done for spotting it MrsB

you're probably right, but if you look at the posts, they are taking the time to edit them, not properly, as with MG's diary, they haven't edited Firewalker, Lara, or MG's names. But most of the stuff, they have been taking out names.

MSE recently took someone to court for use of the MSE brand name, and they won, and the money they won, they have donated to the CAB to fund their great work.

I have had Martin reply personally to a PM I sent him last year, so I do know he reads his PMs.

Me too. It was better than a telegram from the Queen :rotfl:.He also thanked something I'd posted and when I got all excited about that he thanked that post as well :D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

well mine was, I am in a rush and replying on the hoof, but contact MSE Andrea and she will help you...lol.
  • Sounds like you ladies have this all in hand - but remember it is the weekend and I am pretty sure they don't keep Andrea et al tied to their chairs all the time.:D

The copyright to the content does reside with Martin - and it looks like they have just lifted screeds of content to get link words to sell stuff - so we leave it with the team to pursue.

I don't think it is personal - but the site is pretty darn popular and I guess becomes a target. Thanks for reporting it to them though.

Kind of makes me glad that the Matrix is tucked away from prying eyes though. The security may be frustrating at times, but if this is the alternative ..............

DId anyone see the BBC Breakfast story this morning "Honest Man" returns watches he found? Saddens me, not that he was so honest, but that it made the National News.

Lovely sunny day here - time to shake a leg and go do something productive.

What are you guys up to?

    Morning all,

yes Martin and team do get the weekend off :)

I have an MS job to do, then DS has a party this afternoon.

My friend has a test this wed for a teacher's assistant job in a local school, and if she does well, she will be interviewed the next day. She doesn't know what kind of questions they may ask her.

Aesop, I would say your friend should definitely anticipate a question around SEN students, probably one about behaviour and one around boundaries of TA when a teacher is struggling/disengaging.

I'm feeling very lazy today after a great girlie evening last night, washing up and hoovering can wait because for now, it's all about R&R and TV :D

  • Kids request for Sunday morning baking? Ginger Nut biscuits - the BEST biscuits for dunking. Forget why I don't make these so often as they are so easy. The recipe is you know where LOL

Had a request for a kimchi recipe - anyone else up for an experiment in preserved cabbage?
