Mmmmm - jury is out on the boys. Toddler is up eating egg and toast and a banana smoothie (milk, banana, honey and yoghurt) - Big Kid came down in his school uniform took one look at the food and his face drained of colour.

So calpol and back to bed with him I think.

I have the dentist at 10 (just a small filling being replaced) - but I am at the stage where I don't know whether I am feeling queasy or not. Think I shall go have a cup of tea and some breakfast and decide then. I don't like to cancel because it is with the students and therefore free ( see you knew I would get to the money saving at some point)

It is Friday and I have £18 left out of £50 in my envelope - so that's my tuna and bits from Approved Foods covered................ and I don't think I need to put any petrol in the car this week - so I am right back in the zone as I can carry the tenner over for our Glasgow trip in March.

Up and at 'em this fine Friday - although we have piddling rain I think you guys are still snowed under - so keep cosy.

I've just emailed boss (who's in India) and now I am going back to bed.

See you in a few hours! x

Hope you all start to feel better soon.

Not long off the phone to the Compliance Officer of the JCP - she rang me because I had no case to answer and they had made a mistake and had closed down their files because I was and am entitled to receive JSA. She blamed the fact that they were understaffed so I said that I would go and work for them and she explained that recruitment is due to start soon and she would let me know. Apparently, I should have assumed that everything was ok because she hadn't called me back, however, I did point out that one should never assume anything in this world.

I have a load of washing on and doubt that I will be using the computer much because this room is cold and I may have a sofa day and planning day - I have pen and a note book. Just waiting for the water to warm up so that I can do some washing up - need to clean my crockpot which has been standing because it had stew baked onto it. I plan to make some meatballs in tomato sauce today - I picked up a pack of meatballs in Aldi yesterday, so a wee bit of sauce and some onion and herbs should work wonders.

I woke up this morning expecting 10cm of snow and we have a mere 1cm..I guess it is far too cold:eek:

Pleased to hear about compliance officer. It still didn't sound right to me that you weren't entitled to your benefit and tax rebate.

grrr to newbies not being trained properly.

would be great if you did go to work for them Horace, you could sort them out.

Sorry for lowering the tone.I'll get me coat ;).

My SIL tried to apply to the JC for a job - very long, tortuous online application which kept failing so she ended up missing the deadline. Hope you have better luck.

You best wait for me then :rotfl:

At least you finally have a true answer, Horace. Their staffing issues clearly need to be resolved as they have such an impact on people like yourself.

MG - hope your son recovers after another day of rest. I'm hoping and praying my boys don't catch whatever it was I've had. I actually feel 'normal' (no comments ;)) today. They are due to have some time with their Dad tomorrow and Sunday. I'm sure if there's any probs I'll get a phone call....

    Get well soon TMIF.

Aesop - I've just read my ebay email. I am getting a little disheartened with ebay. I can't seem to sell or buy successfully at the mo', but it's always worth a blast when it's free :D

Have a good, warm day everyone :)
