Oooh Bitsy, how exciting! Great to hear from you btw.
Horace, one of these days a job will be yours. I so admire your persistence :T. Fingers crossed for the house, it sounds great. I now have two interested parties who may offer for mine when theirs has sold. I'm now allowing myself to have a good look online for possible houses/flats, and had a look around where I want to move to using Google Street View - and will be going over there tomorrow for an explore by car and on foot. Looking forward to it!
My slow cooker will be in action too, as I spotted some oxtail pieces tonight in the supermarket, and in a reflex action my hand shot out and into the basket they went, they were very reasonable and are now mine, all mine.... I love oxtail, but don't often see it, so that's my weekend treat.
TMIF, not done that with the car, but a few years ago I did have two prangs in one day - the first someone ran up my rear end, the second I got confused at a roundabout (jangled and out of focus after the first incident) and collided with another car. The driver was wonderful about it. So glad not to be shouted at! I felt a right idiot though. Phoned my insurance co and said "I've had not one but two accidents today" and promptly burst into tears!! Funnily enough I wasn't well at the time either...
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Large, minted, record producer, drives a jag and a teeny-tiny (erm)expense account:rotfl::rotfl:
When I write my memoirs - I WILL be naming and shaming this one BTW. Especially when I caught the red light of a video camera sitting in the wardrobe and peeking through the crack in the door.
Still don't know who let down the tyres on his jag though;)

Now that sounds like it will be a story and a half!
Was feeling a little flat today but think it was poorliness hang over. Have redressed my thinking to push out the negativity. I think a good blast at Ebay is just what I need. I may not be around much this weekend, I think I'll be busy hunting out all the junk we don't need, taking photos and listing my not so little a$$ off
What is everyone up to over the weekend? One step at a time0 -
sorry, I was at the dentist and couldn't write it properly on my phone. Normally would link for you, so you wouldn't have thought I was swearing at you
About your eye tests, you should qualify for free eye tests, with IS, CTC, have you received a card saying you get free prescriptions, etc.0 -

Ha don't worry it made me smile
Yes, I did get a card which i've been hunting high and low for. I can't remember seeing it since I left 'home'. The ex should be having boys tomorrow so I will ask him if he's seen it. (If I can engage him in conversation for long enough  'cause he really thinks I'm that bad!)

How did you get on at the dentist?
root canal, first part, go back in 2 weeks for 2nd part. She said the tooth is cracked, so we have to keep an eye on it. I am no good with extractions, had one last week, so we are trying to avoid it.0 -

 eek I don't think I'd be any good at any of it! Well done for getting through 1st part though.
Oh and I've listed 5 books on Green Metropolis and re-listed 2 on Ebay. Just been researching the sort of items bids have been put on items similar to ones that I have, ready for some proper listing tomorrow. All thanks to you and your swearingOne step at a time0 -
Marru, I see you lurking, how are you feeling hun xx0

Brilliant news Groatie - betcha you get an offer on March 3rd LOL
Morning peeps - both boys seem much better today. DS1 is in a rush to finish some geometry homework as I happened to mention that Gran "might" phone to take them to the pictures - but only if ALL the homework is done.
DS2 is playing "Dora the Explorer" on an old laptop - do kids come into the world now "knowing" all this stuff - cos he knows what sites, pages, scrolling, mouse, right-click, search, favourites and internet all are???? Still it might be useful having a techie in the house.
Feeling a bit "meh" - but I think it is the hangover from the dentists yesterday rather than anything more serious so I was thinking about planning out my garden today - we have some seeds but need a plan so we can start growing what we actually love to eat.
Set up a new category called "The Baking Tin" on the blog - so will go and upload the Xmas baking etc over to there so we can have it ready for next time around. And I need to knuckle down and actually type up the posts I have in longhand and sort out the publishing schedule before MrF sets the dogs on me.
Thankfully the shopping is all done so no need to stray very far today.

Morning peeps,
Knackered.com
I've not even been able to lurk recently but glad to see you're all still around & having fun.
MG - had a tummy bug the other week - 3 of us in our team went off with it in 2 days & it took about a week to really get over it - so be gentle with yourself & the littlies.
DH is off this weekend & we're going to do something going out for the day. Shopping is not a pleasurable experience in my life so all suggestions gratefully accepted.
Have a good weekend folksDebts 07/12/2021
