Dora - I find that garages see a woman and think that we're dumb. I remember taking my car in to the dealership for service once and they claimed and charged me for items that they had replaced so I checked and discovered they hadn't and had charged me anyway. How did I know? Well my dad was a mechanic for several years and he had told me to mark certain items with a blob of tippex or nail polish. I went back to the garage and stood over them whilst they re-did the work. Thieving scoundrels!

Marru - sending you vibes and good wishes in the hope that your old employer will take you back.

The papers are now gathered for the court - I discovered this morning which court I need to send them to as well, the directgov website told me Birmingham - only there are several courts in Birmingham so which one? Anyway it is sorted now and things will be starting soon. I think that I will need to go to the post office as a first class stamp isnt going to cut it - it will need a bigger priced stamp.

Ooops sorry about that - turns out that my downstairs neighbour had a heart attack yesterday and I had some "picking up the pieces" to help out with.

My Mind Mapping job is running for another year - not a fortune, only £100 per month but its one of my 1% projects - might be worth finding another job like this to run alongside (another sector perhaps).

Got an hour before the big kid is home so am just going to run through the place with a bin-bag and fill the bins for collection tomorrow.

Well I did it, walked into work, after finding no update for me, went to the Receptionist who told me what had been happening while I was not here, came back and asked for 2 weeks leave from next week.

    am going to job hunt!

My work know I come in on Tuesday and need an update on what has happened from Thursday to Monday. They don't bother. I find out bits and pieces or have to ask lots of questions throughout the day to find out what has happened. Last time somone resigned no one bothered to tell me, we are now down 1 assessor and I cannot find anyone to replace them urgently!

A colleague dared to accuse me of knowing about 2 learners that were problems and not saying anything, so I sharply told her I had only found out this morning upon reading my e-mails! And as my Manager kept disappearing to meetings, this is was the first chance I had had to ask about it! I do not need to work in this environment anymore!

The team I work with are all s laggin g each other off behind each other's backs and the feeling is awful! You walk out of the room and they B*tch about you, someone else walks out, they b*tch about them!

I found out by accident about a networking meeting on thursday that I hope to attend depending on time and location. I may find a job :)

Hope your neighbour is ok MG,

Aesop - get your CV listed on various websites. I applied for a job as a wedding planner today, I saw the job on Caterer.com and even though it was posted on 27 January I rang up the agency who came out with a story that someone had been earmarked for the job but they didnt want it but they weren't sure if their client had another person earmarked (why put the job out in the big wide world if it is not up for grabs?) so I was asked to submit my CV - it is about time my diploma earnt me some money:rotfl:

Today, I have applied for 3 jobs and am in the process of writing an application form (really must get used to using a fountain pen again) and they have asked that a CV be attached. Ummed and ahhed about a job in Worcester but when I saw where it was, I can get the train easy and it is also by a stop for the park & ride.

Still no word from the JCP compliance officer - will ring tomorrow if not heard anything, I am not a criminal and yes I did pay tax in year 07/08 both in my employed job and in the poxy con thing they sent me to. Can't wait to be rid of the dole now - I would go back to WTC but need to earn money because I cannot survive on £51 a week.

Neighbour has had his op - 2 stents put in. Think his missus is feeling worse than he is at the moment (but then he is still pumped full of opiates.

So she is returned home, slow cooker of casserole plugged in and half a dozen assorted soups tucked into her freezer. Pack of HM French rolls tucked alongside. At least there will be something easy to reach for with all the travelling she will be doing up to the hospital for the next wee while

Now to go and feed my two, who have patiently sat through all the driving and visiting.

Thinking of your neighbour MG and hope everyone's job/money hunting goes well.

Had a half hour phone discussion with garage service manager at lunchtime and calmly talked him through my A4 page worth of complaints about the complete lack of service - he agreed that it was "definitely not up to standard" and apologised for some of the comments made by his service staff. Result is tomorrow they are going to replace my now broken key fob without charge. :)
