Horace - maybe you can get yourself through the door and then explain to them how you would sell...

Look after your eyes. I had blepharitis recently and it hurt. I can imagine that when mixed with other problems it would be horrible.

OMG!!!! One of the mentors has turned up (in person and no its not the French one).

He has 24 envelopes - 24 challenges and the first one is no online communication for a few days!!!!

So don't worry I have not popped off me perch I am just going to be very busy.

Horace - why not write a blanket marketing plan for a venue and then make appointments to "present" your plan to them instead of applying for jobs - play to your strengths design your own job exactlythe way you want it.

Play nice ladies and keep warm - hope to come back on Sunday to lots of productive chit chat.

BTW he came bearing wine and Indian Food so don't think too badly of him taking away t'internet for a few days

 Nooooo don't leave me! Where will I go to do grumping????? :D Thank you for the understanding this morning. Now i'm just flat and tired, a real bundle of joy aren't I? :p Am going to focus on organising my money for the month to keep me distracted. You can't beat a list and a plan when you're fed up!

Horace - I cannot imagine the discomfort you must be in. I hope the medication takes effect and does its job very soon.
One step at a time ;)

Thanks for the tips MG - I blame lack of confidence, however, I have a cunning plan now that my business overdraft has been cleared. I could go back onto WTC and have a plan to organise some ladies' only events I even have a venue in mind. I hate being on the dole and am dreading the meeting that I have to have with the compliance officer as I may have inadvertently done something wrong back in 2007 when I first signed on:( All because of the wretched tax rebate. Mind you the ratbags haven't phoned me back:mad:

If I ditch the dole and have WTC which is less than the dole then things will have to go like the tv - hopefully I will just be able to keep the phoneline and the broadband which will be less money. Mind you if the universe provides a permanent home then I will have to ditch cable tv as I cannot afford it and will switch to Freeview (at the moment I am keeping cable for the broadband and telephone). Talking of permanent abodes - parents have seen another house, this time with offroad gated parking, central heating and 3 bedrooms which is a little more expensive - the garden is also smaller.

I have spent the evening on Facebook helping a friend whose boyfriend has his rare motorcycle pinched - word has gone out far and wide now.

Claire - sorry to hear about your DS breaking bones - I was never out of casualty when I was a child, I was constantly falling over. The hospital thought my mum was beating me up but she wasn't. I once broke both arms - broke my left arm after falling off my bike in the garden (onto grass) and then the next week I was running down the golf course up the Lickeys and tripped over the only rabbit scraping on the hillside and ended up breaking my right arm..what fun:rotfl: As the fractures were both greenstick, I had to wear slings:rotfl:

Horace, I don't understand what you may have done wrong with your tax rebate. Tax is paid back when you have overpaid in a particular year. You were made redundant, and you probably overpaid tax, nothing to do with you signing on!

but agree, why are they going after someone like you, who desperately wants to work, yet thousands out there, living better lifestyle than you, and defrauding system!

Read all posts - good luck with the silence MG although we will still blether as if you were here.

Horace take care of you - those eyes sound ouchy.

Glad the hols went well TMiF - might have a trip to Malta later in the year (am old enough to fit in well with the olds)

Nowt happening in Doraville which is just the way I like it - car service and MOT tomorrow so expect to hear my credit card sobbing quietly in the corner.
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017

Yay, OH's bil is going to come and fight my corner with me on Friday, he is now up to speed on what the other side are trying to say and do and according to OH, doesn't suffer fools gladly in business, so I'm feeling more confident about the situation.

Enjoy your break from t'internet MG. I always find when I go on holiday the first few days feel strange then it feels wonderful not to be psychologically tied to emails and websites and I always resolve (and fail after a week or so) to have one or two days a week without it when I get back!
