Have a good day Hopeful. xx0

Hopeful - the deal on here is you are absolutelydootley allowed t wake up in a grump -as long as we all don't wake up in a grumpy mood then all is fine. I think "Nations may fall" if we all had a cob on at once:rotfl:
OK ladies - hands up who has never smacked one of their kids??? Thought not - no takers Hmmmm!!! Guess you are PERFECTLY NORMAL Marru. Even my lovely boys have felt a tap once or twice (well DS1 once and DS2 twice). What they do have is a very clear understanding of boundaries.
A mate of mine had a bit of a wibble yesterday - and instead of bottling it up he let it all out and in the meantime uncovered a great leap forward. So today my challenge is to complete the same exercise - we swap and do it for one another ............... really interesting to "see oorselves as ithers see us"
In the meantime - TEA and lots of it

Marru, hope you are feeling better today. You don't beat DD, you gave her a tap. DS fell down the stairs 2 yrs ago and broke his arm. I felt guilty about that as you do, why wasn't I there. Could I have stopped him, etc. I had calls from child services. They.just wanted to give advice on how to prevent accidents at home and make sure ds was ok. Shame they didn't help baby P. Hugs0

Morning all, finished my night shifts now so treated myself to a latte (already had credit on the loyalty card so technically no spend
). Now waiting for a bloke to fix the crazy washing machine, he's due at half 9 so he better hurry up because I've got a meeting this afternoon and need to get showered etc.

Morning peeps
Sorry I have been missing in action again...much to catch up on. My trip to the eye hospital on Monday to get my eyes tested ended up afterwards with a 4hr wait in eye casualty:( I have a spot of uveitis which I can cope with but what is worse I have got blephritis which is an infection of my eye lids which are making my eyes quite sore and painful. My fridge is now full of eye drops - as I have to take the steroids 4x a day, I have cellulose drops to take 4x a day too as these provide comfort for my eyes and I have to use boiling hot water with a teaspoon of baby shampoo in to wash my eyes twice a day. I have constant pain.
Feeling a bit meh as well as I received a letter from the jobcentre compliance people because it seems they are not happy that I received a tax rebate even though I did tell them that I had received the money and was told by the advisor at the centre that it related to the time when I was working in 2007 and therefore didnt matter. My benefit may be suspended - what joy:mad: In other news though I may have some temporary work with R*ndstad even though I am due to start on a 4 week course at local college as part of my dole thing.
Went out yesterday to a valuation day at a local church hall - I took a few bits namely 134 19th Century mother of pearl gaming chips, an early 20th Century lantern with cut glass curved panels, some brass platters and the silk banner that I found in MIL's house when we were clearing it out that I was then given. The brass platters are not worth anything so I was told to hang on to them, the silk banner hasn't been put in the sale as I didnt know what to do with it but I may change my mind as it was valued at £60-100 - Chinese is hot at the moment:D The gaming chips have a reserve of £70 on them and they could go for as much as £150 and the lantern which was given to me by my aunt has a reserve of £60 and could go for £60-80 probably more:D The auction takes place in March.
Had some fab news from mum too - someone that I knew from the children's home that my aunt ran (she became my best chum when I was 5 but we lost touch when we were 13) has been given an MBE for her work as a specialist epilepsy nurse...not bad for a kid who grew up in care:)0 -
Hi all, Horace - hope your eyes get better soon, that sounds really gruesome what you're having to do medication-wise, and wtflip are the benefits people playing at?!?
May I have some "stop being silly" vibes for the people buying my house please? I'm worried that they're going to walk away as their surveyor has decided there is a problem, I've had a specialist around at my own expense, and took photos, he spoke to the estate agent etc etc, to confirm that there is no problem, yet still the buyers are complaining and saying that their surveyor must be right, even though all he's done is look at the downpipe!
I'm pulling my hair out here, they're complaining that I'm putting too much pressure on them, yet I'm just trying to help?!? I don't want to lose the 'forever home' and am fed up that the buyers seem to want to have the moon on a plate.....they are buying an old house, not a brand new one, and there are no problems with it!
They have until Friday evening to get this sorted or I'm putting it back on the market. Gulp, that means I'll have to tidy up again!!
(and breathe)0 -
Kittikins - what are you doing taking the bleeding thing off the market anyways? Get it back on pronto - a buyer is only a buyer when the money has been transferred to your solicitor - until then you gotta look after No1.
So sad to say - call the agent and get your pinny on love. Let go of the need for these to be The Buyers and they will feel the pressure is off IYSWIM (and it may just prompt them to get their finger out). Let go let God.
Need a dose of motivation today - so much to do and CBA - the good news is that my mortgage is now sitting at -£124455 so I am slowly chipping away at my huge number.

Good afternoon
I have a case of the CBa too but I now need to go out and take over from my mate who has been taken ill up the market, so thermals on lol, I will be a frozen Claire on the way home lol.
I had a phone call from ds2 school this morning, he has hurt his hand so it may be another trip to casualty on the way home too (he is still in school at the moment, as he seems ok, but they will ring me if it gets worse.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Brrr it is cold..and due to get colder e.g. -10 by the end of the week according to the weather forecast this morning. I am wearing lined hiking trousers, a long but warm sweatshirt and a thick fleece jacket which is zipped to the neck.
Who knows what the benefits people are playing at - they want a copy of my passport, bank statements, utility bill etc - what is annoying is that they have had all this already and it took them an age to even pay me anything this time around. I will see what temp work I can pick up and the dole office can stuff it pardon my french. I explained to them that I was at the hospital tomorrow which was most inconvenient for them because it means that I won't be around between 9.30-1.30pm so I am awaiting a call back - no call back forthcoming. Seems they don't like the fact that I was made redundand in August 2007 and was unemployed until 2009. I haven't done anything wrong, yet they are making me feel like a criminal.
Awaiting a call back from the agency because hopefully I can pick up some temp work for next week and going forward, plus I have seen another job going this time a Meetings & Events Sales Exec position which pays £20K a year - I will have some of that thank you very much.:D
Feeling CBA - haven't even put any dinner on - must remember to split the sirloin steaks I picked up from the whoopsie shelf yesterday and put them in the freezer. Dinner tonight could be belly draft. I might cook up sausages for lunch.0 -
Wow great news on the mortgage MG, you are doing great!
Hugs to Marru
Horace, hope your eyes get better soon and seriously the benefits people need a shaking!
I have been banished to the bedroom as my daughter is having a yoga session in the front room. The lady teaching her specialises in working with people with one of the conditions that my daughter has got, so it was great to find her and even better that she comes to the house.
Got woken up at 2am by the cat and instead of doing the sensible thing and getting up and going to the toilet, I held off until I couldn't wait any longer. So up at 4am and then I was fully awake, so when the alarm went off at 6.15am, I couldn't get up. Luckily I can work from home, so managed to catch up with some sleep!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j
