    Indeed ..... I'm gonna buy something on line to 'test' my debit card ;)

    Also, just had confirmation from Citi today that they report the monthly conduct of their current accounts to the credit agencies .... I'm glad about that as it will help me to build up a good record ... :o

    Thought I would post this email that I sent to Citi Bank this am.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Can you advise me when I will get my cheque guarantee card and overdraft that comes as standard with the accont I have. I wil be paying £10 per month, but I wish to ensre I get all the benefits.

    Please be informed that you will receive the card with Cheque guarantee facility.

    With regard to your query on overdraft facility request you to kindly call Citiphone banking with active card and Tpin to check if you can avail overdraft facility.

    I await my new card as I do not have a guarantee card yet. I will call them re the overdraft just now.

    no havent heard yet bonjoey had my id returned about a week ago.
  • I just phoned them to check on my application ... i was declined :-(
    so i went back to web site to apply for the access acccount ..lets see if i have any better look with that....The bad news they have taken the offer off Quidco :(

    Sorry to hear that you got declined, I did notice that CITI are no longer on Quidco. I have emailed them to ask about it. Best of luck with the other account.

  • Thanks marcellep . . I applied about the 9th Feb ..got my application pack on the 14th and they sent my id back on 19th feb...phoned out of curiosity more than anything, wish I hadn't now..maybe I cursed it..lol..
    I really need the account so I can start to recalim my bank charges from Halifax.

    :confused:this may be a daft question but as a lot of people have had problems with chip n pin has anyone thought to pay by cheque in these shops that dont do chip n pin or is that out of the question, also with these shops, as I got the 3in1 card just wondered if this would work. although probably not if you got the 2in1 card. I havent had any problems with my card, touch wood, but just wondered if the people, that did have the problems, had tried to pay by cheque instead.
