taxable interest
does that mean we will have to pay tax to the tax man on the interest,
its been along time since I had a current account, not sure I knew much about it then, sure as hell dont understand it now, anyone help me out here,
although 1p isnt much, I have managed to swap most of my DD's to the 1st of the month so that I will have more money in at the end of this month, so more money means more tax I guess, and might mean trouble with the tax man by the end of my 1st year.

Hi CW, You're only paying tax on the interest they give you ... not any other monies in your account - You won't need to worry about the tax man. I'm not actually sure why we have to but I've always done so. I think the only time you don't is when you have savings in a tax free plan.:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

I went to Lloyds yesterday with a check and my citibank card and got blank looks and told that I need to fill in some kind of gyro slip or something. So what are the best ways of paying into one of these accounts? Is their a citibank address you send a check through the post to? Why wouldn't Lloyds let me pay it in?0

Address: Citibank International Plc Promenade Level, Cabot Place East Canary Wharf London E14 4QS
6 Eastcheap London EC3M 1NL
332 Oxford Street London W1N 9AA
88 Strand London WC2R 0DW
Address: 3 St Mary's Gate Deansgate Manchester M1 1BZ
I taken these address's from Citi.com website, You can send a payment slip along with cheques to any of these branches.
http://www.citibank.com/locations/eu/gb/gb/gb.htm
Payin books can be requested by calling or mailing Citibank
You can also pay in at any Lloyds TSB bank, I have done this already. Once again just use the payin slip.
Hope that helps :money:If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -
So you need a paying in slip with you when ever you go to Lloyds? If I take the cheque into Lloyds with the paying in slip, they'll except that?0

Not too happy with citibank this morning, I don't like the fact that if you deposit cash through Loyds tsb it takes four working days to reach your account.0
