Hi,

Does anyone know if Citi carry out the credit check for a current account online or only when you return the forms they send in the post..

I have had a pack through the post asking for my signature and ID saying I have 'provisionally been approved' but have they credit checked yet?

They will be doing the credit check when you get the ID back to them

If its any help they ONLY check Experian

Anyone know if the Citibank Access Account visa debit card is a "proper" visa debit card which will allow offline payments at pay at pumps etc?

Not some electron/solo card in disguise like my RBS visa debit card.

I've had this Citibank account for years but not really used it for day-to-day banking.

It's a proper visa debit card which can be used anywhere which accepts visa. That includes pay @ the pump etc.

hi i just recomended the citibank account to mu who has probs opening a account....can someone just tell me what the name of the account is...the one with the debit card ?
