When alot of members opened there Citi Bank account away back @ the start. Some used Quidco any tried to get the £50 Cashback from them. But most members NEVER got the money.

    Well
    February 25th, 2009
We are happy to announce that we are clearing out the last of those old earnings enquiries that are still in "sent to merchant" status for the second half of 2006 and all of 2007.

The first time we did this type of amnesty (we clear them from our own pockets as we haven't had a valid/invalid resolution back) was for 2005 enquiries, and our second enquiry amnesty covered enquiries through the first half of 2006. Now we're resolving enquiries from the rest of 2006, through the end of 2007 which cleans up all of the old unresolved enquiries. Phew!

The earnings enquiry process change that was introduced with the SureShop update in June 2008, ensures that enquiries will always either validate or decline within 60 days of submission. So since that time there is no more "sent to merchant" status or enquiries in limbo, because you know your enquiry will have a resolution within 60 days.

We're really really really happy (can't say it enough!!) that we are finally in a position where we can assure you all that any enquiry is resolved in 60 days and that there aren't any outstanding from past years when we didn't have that assurance.

The member support team are working through these 2006-2007 enquiries now, and many of you have already noted that you've seen enquiries go from "sent to merchant" to "added" in the past couple of days. We'll continue to work through the remaining enquiries and mark them resolved, then they'll be sent to the payments team, who will assign the payment to the enquiries and mark them received. Not all of these will get marked up for this month's payment run but be assured we are working through them as quickly as possible.

This is our way of saying "Thank You" to you all for your continued loyalty and trust. Things have changed a lot in how we are able to handle enquiries and guarantee eligible cashback and we want to show that we are committed to giving you all our best and that we'll keep working hard for you.

We still have more improvements to make (guaranteeing payment times is our next one) and we're obviously still taking on your feedback and suggestions to make Quidco better!

Thanks again to all of you who have supported Quidco from the beginning, trusted us as we have grown, and lastly had patience while we learn from mistakes and work on improving the site
    So get checking your account

i worked for a callcentre a while ago that used to be take the calls about the citibank accounts for new/prospective customers, and apart from the interest rates in the current account, it did seem to have a lot of benefits that other banks didntt have, i remember it was one of the very few that offered free transactions abroad and had useful currency accounts (which were dead easy to sell as additions)

it did have quite a strict credit criteria though, is this the case still, or are people with slightly iffy credit starting to get these accounts? I could never get one as I worked for the outsourced company that had the contract to do customer service, and we didnt earn enough to meet the minimum wage (20k i think it was at the time)
    £4988 Lloyds TSB Mastercard
    £400 O/D Lloyds TSB
    £2650 Lloyds TSB Loan
    £5070 Black Horse Finance

Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!

It appears that Citi Bank has changed there criteria, once upon a time they seem to accept people with bad credit ratings. Nowadays it seems they have went back to old ways and are alot stricter now.

*On a positive note I got my Quidco Money for Citibank this month too

I have the account in which they charge you a tenner a month.

Noticed this month though, that they have only charged me £7.77:huh: Anyone know why this is?
