I also applied online for both the citi and halifax accounts and got both yet never heard a thing from natwest, but not bothered now, as I am using my citi account as my main account and the halifax as a savings account, although I also have a savings account with citi, the halifax will be for quidco payments and ebay use, so now I have a choice, where as before I was stuck with a mickey mouse account at barclays and HSBC which have both been closed down now by myself, as I dont have any bank charges to claim back but dont want to keep them open when I wont be needing them anymore.

I cant decide if I should go for the citi saving account or not. Can you plz tell some of its benefits. Do you know if they give monthly interest or yearly and is their interest rate good as compared with other banks? Do they give you a new card for that account and is it Visa card as with the current account? I know that you can withdraw the money when ever you want but do they require any minimum balance or deposits? Do they do credit check for the savings account? As I have their current account so what should be the best way to apply for the savings account?
Thanx in advance for answering all those questions.<<If you liked what I said then feel free to click on the thanks button>>0 -

firstly I used the quidco link, which is now saying £30 in my earnings at quidco, secondly they gave me the flexisaver issue2 savings account, which I was told I could use my citibank card for, (you dont get another) but was told that the best way to put money into it is by bank transfer which citi dont charge you for as it'll be between my 2 citi accounts, this will be instant, and I can tranfer the money from one to the other when I want to, eg, when I want to save some tranfer it over to my savings account, then when I want to spend some transfer it back to my current account, that simple really, and yes good interest rates but only to new customers eg, me and you, for the 1st 6 months then back to the normal rate after that, I dont know if they do credit checks, but if you already have a current account I dont see any problems with you getting one, but hurry before they stop taking on new customers for that, just apply online they sent you a form to sign and send back 1 form of ID thats it wait about 10 days and look online to see how many accounts you have, I still havent received any data about the account so rang them and they just answered all the questions for me, then said they send me a letter saying this is your account number, which I havent got yet, there is no mimuim deposit but after 1 million lol you wont get any more interest over the million, lol I wish, might win the lotto one day, hope this helps

I expect they will get around to sending me the data but it looks like they are very busy with all the new applications, I dont really need it on paper anyway as it's all in front of me when I go online anyway, also when I was on there website tonight I noticed it said against one account " Flexible Saver Account (closed to new applications)
this is the account I have Flexible Saver - Issue 2 so it looks like they do only have room for so many at a time, bare this is mind for those you where declined, as it may be nothing to do with you, just that they did have a qouta (so many) then after that you just got a bog standard letter sent, saying you were declined, it seems abit weird that in my sons letter it said try back in 6 months time, it sounds like it was a recruitment drive then its finished for this time but will start up again in 6 months, because I have done a check with experian for my son and they is nothing there, anyway hope this helps anyone,
