well guess I would have had a bit of a shock then thanks for that, how do we put any money in, would a cheque be ok do you think and yes my cold is getting abit better thanks

the waiting game, dont you just hate it. Sent my application form off with all the id on Thursday. Just got to wait now fingers crossed.

What is the general timescale for getting a desicion?

Yeah I asked them the same question, how to put the money in without the card as easycash holders cant use the counter. They told me to use the paying in boxes to add funds to the account and it should be at least £50 so that they can activate the card.

Finally got the card today and activated it. But still will have to go next week to one of the Citi branches in London with my ID. They want me to fax them a copy, but it has to be signed by somebody in a bank. Didn't tell me why, but i think it's because i have CIFAS warning on my credit report. Somebody last year applied for a bank account with Nationwide with my address.

Btw, very pleasant staff in call centre. Internet banking however needs a lot of improvement. As there is no rush, i will be still using my A&L account as a main one, but will try Citibank too.

I have got a 2 in 1 card and I just hope I get the chequebook and that I dont get a phone call from them telling me that I must be depositing a certain amount into the account monthly to get the chequebook.

Takes about 3 -4 working days for the cheque book to arrive.

You'll have no problem getting it ... I received one and didn't have any funds in my account at the time.
