    well what can I say...
    wow...
I have never really had any problems apart from when they think my card is being frauded when it isn't...lol...not really a laughing matter...but 1 phone call to them and its usually sorted out...
sorry some people are having so much trouble...as for paypal I would open an easy cash account somewhere for that and not use my main account for anything to do with paypal or ebay for that matter...makes sense to be sensible with your money...
    :D

Glad to see I am not the only person have problems with Citibank.

I have been a customer for nearly 2yrs now and for the past 3mths has nothing but problems with my card being declined. Despite crediting over 3.5k a mth. I never ever go overdrawn and I am always aware of what funds I have available.

I am like other members of this forum with regards to calling the bank, My Scottish accent causes problems. So now I just do it all my email.

To-Date they cant explain why my card is declined..... :(

  • I had problems again last week in Sainsbury's and trying to get money out of an ATM, It took three goes before it would authorise the withdrawal..

I've given up with them now, Yes it's nice to have a visa debit card, But not much use if it's decined randomly. I've gone back to my Halifax Electron card, and have a credit union Visa debit card for places that don't take electron. (Very rare these days!!)

I asked them what the hell was happening, It's a pain in the rear end when it happens.

I have since called them and requested they send me a new card out...

Hopefully that will sort it out

Hopefully that will sort it out, if it doesn't try asking the vender why, as it could be that they haven't up-dated there machines.
I get some of my shopping at Lidl, sometimes and 9 times at of 10 it'll work ok but then there's this one time when it wont, they ask me to sign for it instead, so it can be done where you sign like before chip & pin.
incidently, my DS used to call it scratch & sniff...lol...don't know why, although he is dyslexic.
