I had no problems paying a cheque into my Citibank account via a LloydsTSB branch a couple of weeks ago if anyone wanted to know.
I half expected the cashier the say there was a fee to pay for paying into other bank's accounts as I "wasn't a LloydsTSB account holder" although she did keep looking at the paying in slip like she had never seen one before. :rolleyes:0 -
Has anyone had problems with there card being declined? If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0

morning everyone. I have been on the citibank web site and I can't see a 'sterling current account'. Is the 'Citibank access account' the same thing? I have an unpaid default from april 05 and a cred score via experian of 76. Is it likely that I will get an account with a check book and visa debit? Also, how often does this account give a statement. Its pain if you don't get monthly statements. x0

ahh, thank you 97trophy. I have a joint basic account with L,TSB. and they dont give a statement other than quarterly. Its a real nightmare trying to keep in control of what's going on with the a/c. Vital that I get a new bank account up and running ASAP but dont want to make sure I can get the best account that I can. x0

you can payin your bank via LTSB or do a bank transfer with HSBC takes 48 hours which is what I do...I once took a slip into LTSB and they looked at me funny and said no...so I asked for the manager who in turn had to ring someone else who in turn had to then ring someone else...so I don't venture in there anymore but we are a small coastal town so say no more...really...
anyway glad you got sorted...

I have never been able to verify my Citibank account with paypal. Therefore can not use to make and receive payments.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I also cannot verify my Citibank account with Paypal, this is because Citibank have 2 different sort codes depending on what kind of transaction you are doing. Paypal will only accept one sort code whether paying in money or taking out money.
On the customer service front, I only ring when I have no alternative. Apart from the call centre staff not really understanding my questions, the line is also incredibly bad and muffled, making it very difficult to have a proper conversation.
Am now looking to move my current account which I've had for at least 15 years. Considering the Co-op basic current account.....0
