I have been trying to ring them tonight but can't get past the automated bit to speak to a human!
after you have keyed in your card number and tpin number then the automated voice comes on just press * star and 0 and they will put you through to a punjabi speaking person who doesn't understand you ...you have to speak quite clearly and try not to have an accent cos they wont understand you if you have an accent...hope thats helps...

What I find funny is that they have this so called Security measure where they block purchases on your card over £300 yet they let someone spend £1200 of my money (In £400 blocks) on Mobile Phone Topups in Saudi Arabia!!

I then had to prove that I wasn't in Saudi Arabia spending the money, Which was quite obvious as about 10 minutes before the 1st transaction I'd taken a tenner out of the ATM in Milton Keynes... Even I can't travel that fast lol.

As of today I've gone back to my Co-op Cashminder account, English Call centre with friendly agents, and My Capital One Card for emergencies in Non-Electron shops.

it has took me 8 weeks to save up the money for the F/F then I want to buy a laptop in 4 weeks time so hope that I get the halifax one so I can do it online with quidco and use the 5laps discount code to get 5% knocked off the price...which wont be much but it'll still be better off in my purse than there's..so I wait to see what citibank are gonna do with my money then try to order the F/F again but hope that I can get away from citibank it wouldn't have bothered me much but for the fact that I rang them and told them what I was doing and they stil blocked it....arrrrr:mad:
I would have saved £72.59 off the price with the £55 discount and the quidco earnings of £17.59 which alot better off in my purse than theres but the 10% code finishes on friday so lets just see what happens tomorrow or friday...stupid banks:mad:

they keep saying that there is no restrictions on my account yet they wont let me buy a f/f for £502.49p
I also got a new card off them but a fat lot of good it is if you cannot spend anything on the account...so annoying...

One of the resons I've always kept a spare bank account ICE, Just for when these things happen..

My Co-Op one has come in very handy at times at Shops that I knew my Citibank Card wouldn't work.. You can Widthdraw and make INSTANT cash deposits at Post Office's with this account.. Far quicker than the Citibank/LloydsTSB Branch system.

You'd do a lot worse than to apply for one of these cashminder accounts, The Easycash account is good too (I have one of them as well LOL) But it is a bit of a pain that you can't use the branch counter.

If you are interested in the CashMinder account then there is more detail at... http://www.co-operativebank.co.uk/servlet/Satellite/1193206368743,CFSweb/Page/Bank-CurrentAccounts

Yes, Eventually... After sorting this all out I realised how much easier it would've been if I banked with someone that actually has a branch and see someone in person!

Wow a little off topic but it’s so nice to see this thread back to the top of the section.
Unfortunately it seems it’s for the wrong reasons.
I have been with Citi Bank for 18mths now and not had any major problems well apart from the odd occasion when my card was declined when in fact I had more than enough funds to cover it. Now this went on for a few mths that was until I sent a letter to Citibank and demanded them to sort this out. I sent the letter to an address in England and then within a few days I got a phone call from Citibank in the UK. It was all sorted and like many customers I received my new card last month which seems to work fine anywhere I use it and that includes Tesco Petrol self-service.

Keep in there people and keep telling Citibank what they’re doing wrong
