but then if we have a sprinkling of snow, the country will be at a standstill and if anything like this year, neither Tesco or Asda delivered in the snow...the only one was Ocado if I remember correctly

We had a fair bit of snow last year and i still got my Tesco delivery ;)
    Busy mummy of 4.:j
  • We think this is the fairest way as it is worked out over a long period of time and doesn’t penalise either those customers doing smaller weekly shops or those customers doing much larger occasional shops. We do this on a store by store basis.

I'm obviously penalised for doing smaller weekly shops. Looks like it is the store at fault.

Well done to those with slots! :)

I've managed to get my Sainsbury's slot - Booked yesterday for the Monday and changed it today for Tuesday - I'm happy, It is my usual delievery slot (I shop fortnightly) so do like to be able to get it as it is when I am due food
Won't be moving it again as I don't need stuff for Christmas and will leave the other slots for people who want fresh turkeys etc
I am also another one who won't be going shopping with 2 children and me being pretty heavily pregnant by Christmas

Has anyone used Ocado before? I know there's a code for £20 off 1st order of £80 or more and wondered what peoples experiences of them are or should I just stick to Tesco?.....better the devil you know and all that :rotfl:

I use Ocado from time to time and have to say I have not been disappointed. They price match alot of the brand stuff with tescos and have some great offers on too....the fact you can get some things not available in the other supermarkets is a bonus and I often get money off a shop vouchers or 25% off shop e-mailed if I haven't used them for a couple of weeks!

    Yes checkout :-).

I use Ocado off and on and I think they are great. The food is fresher, the veg lasts longer and you get a delivery note with best befores on it. The drivers are all lovely and will carry boxes to your kitchen and unload if you struggle. My only issue is that I can't feed five of us for a week just using Ocado as Waitrose don't have the same range as our usual Sainsburys shop and my other half is annoyingly fussy. If I could do a full shop there without having to top up at Sainsburys I'd use them much more often.

I just got a Tesco email this morning and booked a slot but my Mum, who lives at the same address, hasn't. Thing is, I haven't ordered a delivery for the past two months or so, and my Mum has been getting weekly deliveries, so you'd think she'd get emailed first...
