Seems to vary, I can get Christmas week slots for £6.99. My friend is only being offered slots at £8.99 though. It's either on area or frequency of ordering..

Just ordered from Ocado for 21st, best they had on offer for my area. £8.99 delivery. Spent £250. Ooops!

one year I booked sainsbury for christmas eve and ordered a nice piece of gammon. They subbed with a fatty piece of bacon and lots of stuff was missing. Last year I booked waitrose 3 days before christmas, lots of stuff too and then it snowed and they couldn`t get to me, so never again re counting on a christmas delivery. After last years fiasco, I am well and truly stocked up already

I checked this morning too and got the 23rd, with Sainsbury's, which I wanted... pity no free delivery on a Friday though but am happy to pay £5.50 to avoid the madness.

Some of the Tesco slots are not opened for 23 Dec do they tend to add a few more as they sort theemselve out?

Seems to vary according to where you live in the country (I imagine because of how many drivers / extra staff they have to cope with the extra orders). I live in York and I can't book one for the 23rd yet - so have grabbed one for the 22nd instead. (Will check tomorrow again but suspect they'll be gone ... )

Was utterly exhausted last night, so couldn't stay awake till after midnight. However, logged on at 6:45 this morning, and got my booking from Sainsburys for 10:00 on 23rd, exactly what I wanted. Actually all the slots for delivery round here for 22nd & 23rd were still available.

Checked the long-term weather forcast. According to https://www.netweather.tv, theres a fairly low chance of snow around Christmas here, so hopefully Sainsbugs will manage to deliver.

Don't amend another booking, just do a new one for the new date and then cancel the other one after transferring the basket.
