Supermarket christmas delivery slots

I debated whether to put this in another section but I would say it's a grabbit as most of the slots will go before the end of the week.
I've just checked Tesco and they have slots available for 18th December and Sainsburys and Asda have theirs available for 19th December. Try to get in early to get your delivery slot for your christmas shop. I usually book mine for the 19th then login every day to change it to the next day to try to get a slot nearer to Christmas but still leave a couple of days just incase I've to get some bits that weren't in stock. HTH someone.

the shops are only closed for one day.. it doesn't require such military planning,
Why anybody would trust their Christmas shopping to a late delivery slot is beyond me.0 -

When you're working full time until right before the big day, have a family to buy and wrap presents for, house to run and a lot of people coming round for Christmas dinner then it does require a military planning
I'd rather someone else had the stress of battling through the crowds of shoppers to pick and pack my shopping and then delivery it to me so I can put my time to better use. It's not as if they'll be delivering my turkey. :rotfl: :j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -
I will be checking every day but I will only get non perishables delivered as last year most of my veg was out of stock and what was delivered was scabby and floppy
I will be battling with everyone else on xmas eve morning to get fresh veg :eek:I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Whilst the shops may be closed for only one day, who would want to be going food shopping the day after Christmas Day?? I for one welcome the Christmas delivery slots so that I can plan ahead for the week and then can spend all of that time with my friends and family.
You then have the regular customers who have deliveries on a weekly basis that are shopping for elderly and disabled friends or family who are relying on these slots for their usual shopping, not just for Christmas.

Am I the only one who loves the hustle and bustle of Xmas eve food shopping, its a big part of christmas for me & my mum, no way would we order online for delivery. We enjoy every minute of it. We like choosing our own veg instead of someone else picking it etc etc.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T

In my experience go for an early morning shop on near Crimbo slots. As your basket is picked from the shop floor many popular items can be snapped up by instore shoppers and you get left with nothing or an alternative. This has happened to me in the past couple of years. Fortunately the items weren't desperate and I did get locally.
I appreciate that this isn't possible for everyone but may be helpful if you can be at home in the morning.0 -
