Supermarket christmas delivery slots

  • Booked mine for the 19th but will try and get a bit nearer. I do an order at the local farmshop and go and collect my big box of veg on Xmas eve already picked.

There are so many other things I would rather be doing than shopping.
It's only a bargain if you need it.

I will be checking every day but I will only get non perishables delivered as last year most of my veg was out of stock and what was delivered was scabby and floppy

I will be battling with everyone else on xmas eve morning to get fresh veg

I honestly would not leave it til xmas eve morning. i work at asda and last yr at 9am on xmas eve there wasnt a carrot, potato, parsnip or sprout to be seen in our store and a lot of very disappointed shoppers that had left it so late and ended up trying to source their veg from other places.

Koolkatsaffi, if it is similar to Tesco you need to put something in your basket and checkout. You can then go back and amend it when ever you want.

I've been checking the Tesco website fequently today and still can't book a slot after Sunday 18th December. Any clues as to what's going on?
    Thank you

I've just received an e-mail from Tesco saying I can book a priority slot as I shop regularly with them, so I think it's invite only. This happened before and I didn't get the invite, it really annoyed me as I had been regularly shopping with them, but this time I seem to be one of the lucky ones.

It's truly annoying isn't it. I shop online regularly, spend a king's ransom on an annual basis, and am still not a priority customer. Looks like it'll be good old Waitrose again then.

My mum just got a tesco invite for dates up until xmas eve. She shops online every week. I've only recently started using Tesco online and no invite for me.

    Thanks Storck

Got so far with it -over the £25 min spend but waaay off finishing me Christmas shopping list...What do I do now please?...Wanna keep me 19th Dec delivery slot...Do I pay now for what I have ordered so far??...

    In addition...

I have an Asda card - like savings stamps but on a credit type card - loaded with £250...Can I use this does anyone know?...If I cant then its no worry - I can use it up over the next few months instead...

But I need to get a delivery slot as my chances of getting a sitter for my partner are virtually nil as my usual sitter is going away for the two weeks prior to Christmas...:)

HUGE thanks to anyone who can help me! :)

They do not take your money until the day of delivery just incase they donot have things in stock etc.

Don't know about the ASDA card.
