Supermarket christmas delivery slots

You can't pay with the Asda card, I asked them last year and they said no.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

Check out with whatever you have - you can go back and amend it later but don't forget to check out again when you do. That'll hold the slot for you. The transaction you have today will be replaced with the one you end up finishing with and your card won't be charged until just before the things are delivered. Don't feel daft!! I have continuous blonde moments and it took me days to sort out my first online shop.0

And if you book a slot for the 23rd and it doesn't turn up are you going
to trundle off to Tesco on Christmas eve with your brood in tow?
That's what I mean by my comment, not that people shouldn't have a
home delivery, just that a late delivery slot shouldn't be relied on
especially by those with sprogs and without a car
In that situation i'd have to call on someone for an emergency lift or babysit but would rather not go down that route straight away and would hope my delivery turns up!0 -
i sent a message to tesco earlier to find out why some people can book later dates for xmas delivery, this was their reply
"Some of our most regular customers are offered delivery slots for the Christmas week a little earlier, to say thank you. They're chosen purely and simply because of how often they shop and how much they’ve spent on their groceries online over the last 6 months.
You can find more information via the following link http://www.tesco.com/christmasgrocerydeliveries/

I got the Tesco email too - I could book up till the 23rd, but chose 21st as I like to buy fresh bits myself, and I think a del of 21st means I'm less likely to get a lot of subs.0

Hmmmmm.......I recall last year many deliveries were cancelled due to the snow, not mine thankfully but was delayed......I wonder if we have the same this year, so far it's not looking likelyNever put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. No email, & I shop with them every week. Trying to save money & spend as little as possible & stick to a meal plan that I can buy in advance has obviously gone against me
