Supermarket christmas delivery slots

  • No they probably think they already have your mums custom over christmas, whereas you, there trying to get your christmas custom.

I suspect there could be some truth in this because last year when I shopped every week all year I didn't get a priority slot offered. This year when I have dropped to fortnightly deliveries since October when my boys went to university, I have.
  • Just to remind everyone that Ocado Christmas delivery slots can now be booked but be quick as I was only offered 20th or 21st. Not very happy as although I don't have a pass I do shop fortnightly. I understand that pass holders get priority but in the past they have opened up slots to regular shoppers before opening it up to all.

Thanks, but £8.99  they are obviously cashing in!

I've emailed to say that regular customers should have been notified.

Even now (although seen a page linked to on here) I cannot find a page on the grocery website that gives details of their booking timetable. Pretty bad show when they supposedly want our custom at other times.

  • Stupid tescos..not impressed. We spent so much there but obv they forgot us.
Just checked out Ocado and there are slots for 23rd and 24th but are £9.99.Just sat doing my basket to see how the prices compare and what offers they have but have a feeling it'll work out lots more expensive. Can anyone who has shopped with ocado before tell me how they find the prices compared to tescos? x

They price match tesco on all branded goods, and i find their meat is far higher quality to tesco, less fat on red meat etc.

  • Agreed, definitely far higher quality products. Had my first delivery from there the other work from the loveliest delivery driver I've ever met, and everything was fantastic. Having said that, my christmas week shop is booked (currently) with Asda as I've been offered nothing with Tesco and can't afford £10 just for delivery.

I find Ocado more expensive than my usual Sainsburys shop but the quality is much better and if there is a problem (very rare) it's really easy to sort out. I had some squashed salad at one point and just went online and asked for a refund on it which came through really quickly. Sainsburys I end up emailing every week when I get out of date food, missing items, weird substitutions etc.
