Supermarket christmas delivery slots
Comments

I do nothing with the saved time, i always do online shopping anyway with 3 young children supermarkets are a nightmare. I find they are a nightmare in general esp so at Christmas the last time i went at Christmas was when i was preg in 2006 and passed out in the store due to the heat and all the people fighting/pushing for trolly space. Life is far to short to be bothered with that

So what?
Its individual preference. I don't feel the need to explain to you why I am having my shopping delivered on the 23rd.
Can't understand why you would have a bee in your bonnet about this.
Away and deck yer halls with boughs of holly..... or something :rudolf:0 -

I do what I do at home. Trust me, nobody would want me taking my five year old and three year old to the supermarket. I couldn't imagine anything worse. My three year old doesn't go to the shops at all and my five year old might go for 90 minutes max.0 -

So obviously to that lady her nails were important and she considered paying £5 to get shopping delivered worthwhile.Actually by getting my shopping delivered I'm probably saving money not wasting it!By not going into the shop I don't see those extra little bits you end up popping in your trolley that you don't really need
To answer your question I have three children one of who has aspergers and cannot handle busy shops and I'll have a three of four day old baby as I'm due to give birth on the 19th..does that make me getting a delivery ok with you?
Slightly mad mummy to four kidlets aged 4 months,6,7 and 8

i have a slot for the 21st at 9 am, i was going to change it for the 23rd at 9pm as their are still slots available in store, but after last years fiasco of nothing i ordered being in stock and substitutes being totally different items i think i will stick to the 21st now.
we do the online delivery as i dont drive and dh works shifts so its hard to get to the local store that is not within walking distance0 -
Saw that post last night and didn't think it worthy of a response.
Lots of us need to book a slot as evidenced by all the posts here ands on its sister thread.
Just because we have home delivery we don't have to justify ourselves - and if you're not interested why bother reading it in the first place?Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

I'll be at work when the shopping is delivered. I order it online and husband does the putting away. So instead of going to the supermarket when I finish work I will be taking my three year old to see santa which is much is much more fun activity
It's only a bargain if you need it.0 -
Forgot to say I did get a phone call in response to my email to Tesco - all they said was that they release delivery days threee weeks in advance - so unless we get one of the 'special' emails we will never be told anything more - so we know for next year.
They did ask if I had managed to get a slot - which I had - so don't know if they'd have helped me out if I hadn't - but had to stay up four nights to get the day I wanted.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0
