Go for a £30 Orange deal, I've just got a free 12 month line rental deal from OSPS, phoned Orange and they are giving me the free broadband offer, even though I am not on a 18 month contract, I opted for the £5 livebox option which inc free calls, so I'll have a mobile, broadband and calls all for £10.75 BT and £5 Orange monthly cost0

Take care! Just an update from my previous posts. Still not connected on bband 29/4 original order 15/3! appalling service and numerous callbacks not kept. No one seems to know what the problem is or how to sort it out. It is the lack of information or knowledge as to how to resolve the issue that is frustrating.
further callback due Monday from a 'manager' due Monday.0 -

3.4.3 in their T&Cs appears quite clear on that point:3.4 To be eligible to enter into the Agreement you must meet the following conditions:
3.4.1 you must have a Vodafone mobile phone connected to the Vodafone UK network on a pay monthly contract;
3.4.2 you must live in an area where you can receive the Broadband Services, as indicated by the coverage checker at www.VodafoneAtHome.co.uk;
3.4.3 you must have a working BT analogue telephone line which is compatible with broadband provision.
3.5 The Services are not available separately – if you want to receive the Broadband Services you must also receive the Fixed Line Services, and vice versa.
3.6 Only a Vodafone pay monthly mobile customer can order Services, and you may not transfer the Services to other members of your household (unless they become a Vodafone mobile customer on a pay monthly contract and we agree to such transfer).
3.7 After we receive your order we will notify you of the date on which we plan to connect you to our network and make the Fixed Line Services and Broadband Services available to you. However, the actual date will depend on a number of factors – including how long it takes any existing broadband provider to transfer your line to us. Therefore any connection dates we provide are estimates only, and you agree that we will not be liable to you for a failure to meet a connection date.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

You can go direct to Voda and get a new line from them subject to survey.
"
Free connection for a limited time only. (Normally £50).
If you need a landline installed, we can provide one for you for just £104.99. (Subject to survey). This is a saving of £20 versus BT standard rates. "

anyone changing from BT to vodafone - do you still get to keep your BT e-mail address (e.g. @btinternet.com) or have you had to change to a @vodafone.xxx address?0

I'm a vodafone customer and received a phone call from their sales team at the weekend to tell me about their new broadband service.
I was too busy to speak to them so they are supposedly ringing me back over the next few days.
As I am keen to sign up to the service my question is shall I wait for them to ring back ie. wil they offer me some incentives to join or shall I just ring the customer services number?
Your comments above have persuaded me to move from Demon!!
Thanks,

I switched over as soon as I could from talktalk. I do work for vodafone but found it a good deal and I like it all in the one place.
I opted for the wireless router and I just plugged it in and didn't have to do anything) Both my wii and xbox found the router ok.
I did call them to get the settings for email outgoing server, they were very helpful.
My only thing is that you have to send email out with the vodafone email address. I've set the return address as my gmail.
I left Talktalk and they emailed me their mac code which was great as I hate ringing them!
Though cancel your Talktalk DD as they didn't cancel my account and still took my monthly £14.99 after 5 phone calls they cancelled my account.Em Tysoe
