However, does anyone know if you can still use the other telephone call providers (such as 1899) to make cheap calls?

I would be interested in finding out also. Cannot see anything in the T & C's.

    Philng,

Sorry to hear about your problems. I'm sure it'll get sorted and you'll be properly reimbursed for your trouble.

Ok, thanks...I'll post a question to Vodafone and see just how good their customer service is.

Sorry also to hear about your experience Philng, hope it's just a one-off and that you will get compensation.

I must be the only person experiencing a problem. Requested Voda at home 15/3 and given initial start date of 30/3. Still not connected for Broadband! have already paid £25 for router & first monthly payment of £25. Calls connected 4/4 now in daily contact with Vodafone who are trying to establish what the problem is. It is now 14/4 & I still have no BBand access. They have promised compensation one I am connected as what is the point of paying £25 and simply receive calls only?

    Hi Philng

Sorry to read of the problem your having. I work for Vodafone and may be able to help.

We have a Customer Service team who look after our Vodafone At Home customers, and would be happy to contact them on your behalf to try and get this resolved for you.

If you go to https://www.vodafone.co.uk, then contact us, you'll be able to send us an email. If you include FIT135 in the body of the text, it will be routed to a team who monitor the public forums, and will be able to help.

Thank you for your offer. My issue is now being handled by someone I think called Gary(who deals with issues like this) who to be fair to his credit is now keeping me informed. Latest news is that they established that some work is required at our exchange? Not sure what this means? This is due to be carried out tomorrow 19/4 I have then be advised they can fasttrack BBand connection for following day which will be Friday if they receive confirmation Thursday work has been done.If not Monday of next week.

My issue all along has been that I was given a definite start date of 4/4 and my line & calls went live from that date and payment started from then. Since then Vodafone have been slow to identify what the problem is and then resolve it.

I am due a call tomorrow from Gary with an update on progress. I will keep you informed.
  • Hello

A number of people have asked about this in this post and as a mobile phone sales agent I thought I should suggest it.

You need to be a Vodafone customer to get the £25 Vodafone At Home service. Our website actually lists the cheapest Vodafone tariffs and offers.

Many people actually complain about the mobile phone cashback system but here if you stick to the right dates of claiming back you can actually get:

    A brand new phone
500 anytime mins and 250 texts
£35 per month for 12 months
12 months worth of line rental refunded throughout the contract

You can claim back the full cost of the 12 month contract from the supplying dealer - you get all of the above for free, and it means you can access the Vodafone At Home serviceonce connected.

This is available from our website which is a price comparison site for mobiles: http://www.nextdaymobiles.co.uk

Feel free to use us - others are available though!

I'm getting the Vodafone At Home service shortly. I'm moving into a new-build house and Vodafone can arrange the line connection (normally only BT do this) which means I don't have to pay BT £129 to connect a line, plus be tied to a BT contract.

You may recall the issues I have been having getting set up with Voda BBand package. I did not receive a call back as promised yesterday by Gary nor today. I have rung Voda at 7pm this evening to be advised that Gary has gone home! I have been advised that the tag was not removed from the line yesterday as promised and it will now be Tuesday before this happens!
I cant tell you how annoyed I am at the service I am receiving. Promise after promise and non call back after non call back.
This evening I was advised there was nothing more they could do & a manager even refused to speak to me on the phone.I have now been waiting since 15/3 to be set up on this package and been given date after date for connection to no avail.
I have now requested a call from Gary on Monday for further update. How sure can I be that the work will actually be completed? The other issue I have was that I had to cancel the BT Lite User scheme to proceed with Voda at Home and I know it will difficult to get back on that if Voda do not get this sorted.

Just got the flyer this morning and it does appear quite appealing:
"Unlimited" BB, 8MB SPEED, Unlimited calls (up to 60 mins), includes line rental, free tech support = £25 per month all in!!:j
Currently 4 me its Rogers Contract cell phone, REBTEL.COM is the best mobile making and receiving calls to/from UK and Canada:beer:
  • Just looked at it seems very good anyone had any contact about the offer yet?

To get this offer you have to sign an 18 month contract. You also have to have take out a Voda mobile phone contract. It increases to £35 a month without a Voda mobile contract.Plus they can and probaly will block access to the likes of 18185 etc.
