  • I have had the BB for a week now and so far so good. I had a few teething problems at the start but it has settled down and is working well. Had to use the technical support (191 from the mobie) but they were very helpful and got me up and running. No long queues either. They did mess up my order though and I went live a week later but I complained and they have refunded me £25. Had tried to get talktalk last year but after waiting 4 months I gave up and stayed with dial up until this offer came along. I would recommend it.:T

well up to now im quite impressed. im back online via bb already. the install was fairly smooth. reading the instructions goes against the grain as a man, but i submitted to necessity in the end, and within 30mins i was online. vf told me i would get 1gb for the first week or so, then up to 3.5. the connection speed is bouncing between 1.75mb and 3mb. so far, so good.

btw the setup time includes setting up a wireless dongle....thingy.

A security word of warning for the DM111 router and its hardware firewall that is supplied from Vodafone.

I did a sheilds up test at GRC, and it found open ports.
I only really checked it out of interest to see how the router performed, and have now gone back to using my DG834GT wireless router with all ports stealthed.

Other than that, everything has gone ok.
Got home from work at 10.15 am this morning, and BB conection was working fine :)
  • I recieved a leaflet in the door regarding the new vodafone home and broadband service as i have a mobile contract with them and wanted to know if anyone has signed up yet.

    How smooth was the switch?
How good is the customer service?
Apart from the 18month contract, is there anything else in the small print that is important to know?
    Anything else important?

    Thanks in advance

just got my broadband connection from vodafone everything seems fine.
  • do you have to already have a vodafone contract mobile to get this offer, as suggested in a previous post? Is the broadband BT? I use BT at the moment, but if i can get a deal like that i might go for it through Vodafone..are there any restrictions to the broadband use? thanks
