    Have you had a look at Sky, you don't need to be a TV subscriber and they have a 6 month half price offer on atm for broadband, you have to take line rental and talk as well.
    You can pay 12 months line rental up front @£119.40.
    If you decide to move get a MAC of your present ISP, and don't rely on the new one to end your contract with the former.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    p, did you notice he has FTTC on the exchange also ???

    Looks like sky or TalkTalk would be best in terms of cost.

    Be*/O2 poss best for service, but more expensive

    FTTC - faster if available at the PCP, would have to check costs & availability...

    A lot of choice joe, choose wisely for your useage :)

    No rush to change, not saving much by changing, so maybe the devil yo know eh::
    As I said earlier, I can go to SKY via :Grandson for half price, family/friends;;;he,s a manager for them;;;but, there,s no fibre here.

    FTTC as well as a 25db line, really going off you now Joe.:rotfl:

    Used to watch when it was Emmerdale Farm, and had Jamie off Dr Who in it.

    Don't you worry about the plane crashes??

    Best of luck which ever way you go.

    PS FTTC Fibre to the cabinet, gets you closer to the optical network and higher speeds, look up BT Infinity.

    UPDATE QUERY;;;;
    Can ISP log you off when pc is idle for any length of time;;??
    Mine, as now, has always logged itself off, when I have left it idle for perhaps, 15 minutes in this case;; Sometimes it will stay logged on for hours, then logs off,; I have to log on again, leave idle, it will log me off;
    Wondered if this was normal; No one else I,ve spoken to has it happen;;;
    When I mentioned it to AOL, couple months ago, he said it was pc, they couldn,t do it:::Just curious;;

    you might have an Idle Timeout setting in your router, find it and ensure set to zero :)

  • Check to see if your router is set to Keep-Alive rather than Connect on Demand, if your router re-syncs you will get logged off (sometimes)
