re-signal strength

Wireless (RF) is a peculiar concept! If your laptop or router are positioned in a particular spot, the signal can destructively interfere and you see a poorer signal. The environment (e.g. obstacles causing reflections) will affect Wireless signal propagation.
A slight movement of either your laptop or router may move it from a null (poor signal location) to a peak (good signal location). It is all dependent on your environment.

Ah, I think you are typing the instruction into the Run command box - that will cause a Command Prompt to briefly flash up, execute the command and then disappear.
You need to type in CMD in the run command box.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
Check the MTU size in your router.
If after receiving your new router, you are still having problems, try setting the MTU for the wireless adapter to 1450.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
