Crazychik, i dont know if ds1 trip is a council run place it is called Edale in the peak district, i have paid £75 this is for 2 nights 3 days, including meals, insurance and transport. I do belive this has been reduced by school paying some money towards the trip for each child, but only by about £15 per child.
I think it is utter rubbish, ask him to phone Cavendish school i belive your head knows our head, and ask how our school can do the same sort of trip cheaper and including transport!!Worth a try!
Right off to get doing something, 2nd loads of washing in and been to post office already, but need to crack on!
Hugs to all
donna

Hi to everyone - old and new
The house is definitely on the ESPC (Edinburgh Solicitors Property Centre) now - a place where a pool of agents uses a place to advertise local properties.
For the non Scots or ones people who don't understand what I mean, most agents are solicitors as well as selling agents. It is very different up here selling houses. We have 'offers over', you go upwards on the price and get involved in closed bidding if several people are interested. Or it is fixed price which is more like the rest of the UK.(stenny may be able to explain it better)
It is on their site now and looks good. I worked for the ESPC in 2003 and it was good.
The house looks good and I feel restless too. I doubt anything will happen till Thursday plus and will need to quickly tidy up, dust and vacuum, wipe the bathrooms and kitchen and dress the place. Get me glammed up too, so about 6 hours are needed (5 of which is glamming me up)
My OH had a hissy fit over a wire that is dodgy and cuts off the network, it costs £10 to replace and been playing up for months. He started panicking about tax bills that are due in September and paying for laptops etc on his reduced pay. I said we discussed all this and using what he overpaid me to pay for them but getting the interest now.
I told him our son and life has been playing us up. We are still playing catch up from last year. We need to get rid of the car somehow - we got offered £500 pt exch on a newer car and it will cost about £300 ish to repair.
We need to get A&L sorted but they are such fob offs, and being so s-l-o-w (yawn). I shall close all my accounts if they don't help us, when someone else has better rates of interest.
If the place sells quickly, we will have to decide on what next. If it takes ages, it will be a drag and I do want to be out of here before the summer. Last summer was hell on earth. The summers before weren't much better. Our neighbours are inconsiderate a/holes and hope they get the message about the For Sale sign!An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

B - Pink grapefruit and cranberry juice, Cornflakes, Rose Pouchong tea
L - Cashews and bits
D - Pizza that was on deal. I want to use my sherry cream for something - any ideas?

I seem to be suffering from brain fog this morning. Can't get myself started. I'm still sat in my PJs, although i've fed/changed baby, and had a couple of cuppas. He's now snoozing, so i should do something, but will have to summon some energy from somewhere.
Baby has clawed at his face overnight, so his little face is a bit of a mess. I don't know why he's started doing it now as he hasn't before.
Big hugs to crazychik, ageandjo, and seroxatchick.
I'd best stir myself and get dressed, get some mince out the freezer for tea, and see what i can get done on the flylady list.
Michelle, x

GLAD it's a bit boring but we would get a baguette (or however many you need!) dry fry the beef (like frying steak) with some garlic, onions and mushrooms, then put it all in the baguette with some mustard, and make some hm chunky chips.
well yesterday I had a day off and tried to cram as much as I possibly could in!
nephew stayed overnight, to watch "royal rumble" with OH!
then we went to the park, car went for MOT and failed!so uncle has said he will fix it up for me so it passes!:T and had to walk/skate to work today!
then went in to town to pay bills, took ds1 to nusrery, took dog to vets (the one that had pups) she has an infection in her teats so is not allowed to feed pups anymore so we are feeding them! it cost me £100! _pale_
but if we hadn't taken her and it got any worse she may have had to be put down. I wouldn't have minded as much but they put some wormer in the bag for pups and when I checked the bill it cost me £20 where as I could get exactly the same one off the internet for £8!!!!!
then we did our big food shop, so I have lots of healthy food for once! I made a lovely salad for tea.
tonight ds1 and ds2 are going to their nana's overnight:j so me and OH are either going bowling (OH works there so we get a game of bowls for 80p:money: ) or staying in and watching dvds! it will be our first night out together (if we decide to go) since october last year:rolleyes: .
take care everyone.official dfw nerd club member no 214

:dance:I slept last night!!!!! ok I did wake a couple of times, but finally surfaced at 9.15am!!!!! I took the medication just about 10pm and was asleep by 10.30. so almost slept the clock round and feel better for it.......hoooooooray.
Not a nice morning very grey, but fine, I have a load of laundry to go on the line, am not using the dryer unless I really have to.
Finally got the form filled in for the council, waiting now for a letter from the letting agents to say we are up to date with the rent and then we an take it in. I have also asked to be put on the housing association lists as well, we might get something from them a little quicker than the council.
Right I am off for a :coffee:and to do a few jobs around the house........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Bleurrgghh. sorry, I mean good morning!
Didn't get a day off last week due to a weekend conference in Edinburgh, so my brain is def in need of some R&R. Am typing this on my shiny new laptop, which is absolutely miniscule - smaller than my pukka pad!
As a result of not being home all weekend there is a massive washing pile (needing to be turned into an ironing pile ) & no food in the house. I really need to get a grip in the next couple of days.
On the bright side, tomorrow is payday (including annual January payrise :j) and I'm not going far fro the rest of the week.
Only had time to scan the thread so hugs to those in need.0 -
Viv W i dont think anyone is moaning about the schools just that there trips tend to be more expensive in fact they seem to be overly inflated some times no one is denying that teachers do a great job my mum was one and i remember the summer holidays with her reading all the books on the next years syllabus and lesson planning. Our school are going on a day trip to a power station which is free but £10 for the coach i live about 5 mins away and said can i drop her off and collect from there i was told no i have to pay to go i know it is only 10 pounds but i can do it for £2 tops so it makes you think twice0
