Diddly_squat, it was the holes that killed me off, I'm sure of it. I was on the 5 project too, got canned around February time, and I'd had almost 100% holes for weeks and weeks, months even. I was barely hanging on to my RPH and it had just become a miserable job, whereas at least with the larger sets it was bearable.
I asked them about the amount of holes and they said that other people had been raising the same concern, but in the same breath they said I (and I paraphrase) just had to suck it up. In my opinion the job is around 50% harder when you only get holes, and why in hell they expect you to maintain the exact same standards and RPH when the job is so massively different in a holes week I have no idea. It's like suddenly being expected to double your output for a week.
Hope the SLR goes well for you if that's what is coming your way. I made 20 months with Web 5 and then got canned after three SLRs, they didn't offer me a fourth just fired me on the spot!0 -

It was so much easier this time last year! The holes and larger sets were around 50/50, single figure audits over a 2 week period. Now it seems like each day consists of priority holes, extensive amounts of 'mirrors' that you need to give extra attention to because you know they will come back to you in audits if you don't, 30+ audits over 2 weeks consistently.
To meet the RPH in these conditions, by default you're probably getting a minimum of 40-50% of the audits back, a lot of times trivial stuff after an auditor has had all the time to give it consideration, yet you didn't notice late in the day because you're against the clock, eyes bleeding and head spinning with the unforgiving scope of topics you've had to search.0 -
I always felt the treatment of mirrors is bizarre anyway, who wants that stuff clogging up the search results?0

After being fired a few weeks back I re-applied, lets see how far this goes :P0

I was fired a couple of months ago, due to "[FONT="] budgetary constraints, not performance issues.". Now I keep getting invitations to join various projects, including WSE in April. I replied and followed the link to take the test, which said I had already submitted the test (which, of course, I had, on my original application). I then received no reply or follow up email to my responses.
Very strange....
I did manage to complete the first round of Glass tasks, but they never sent me the follow up task, despite inviting me to do it!
I have also just done 2 hours of the latest Glass project, but that's all I've been able to get. No idea what's going on and to be honest, I'm fed up of pinning my hopes on Appen as nothing seems to materialise.

I received a few of those WSE invitations during the time I was actually doing the job. And on one of them, they said they were contacting me because they'd seen my profile on a job site and thought I might be suitable. Which was surprising, because I've never even had a profile on one of those sites.. :huh:0 -

They paid for the training when I did it, although that was a year ago now. Don't think anything has changed, though.
And not exactly sure how long it took them to get back to me after the pre-screener, but I do know that it was 7 days later that I took the first exam.0 -
Another Glass voice prompt task today0
