CreditCrunchie wrote: »Well I didn't get in after all that. There were 3 parts to my qualification set and the third part had 3 different things within it that all had to be rated. Passed the first parts on intent and image/non image but failed the last (the bit with 3 parts). They sent me a second set but I failed that too. It was practically impossible considering they seemed to contradict their own guidelines! Not too bothered though as looking at all of your posts it seems the work certainly isn't any more logical.
Also sorry to hear this, CreditCrunchie.The guidelines situation sounds similar to the crowdsourcing one, then. They never seem to cover all eventualities either, while I swear that some of them have been written in another language and then just shoved into an English translator..
Did you initially apply for one of the other roles with them instead? Just wondering how you got put forward for this, as opposed to WSE..0 -
I applied for everything they had listed haha. This position is different to what I did before, which was straight url rating tasks. It was bizarre actually - i even had to send them back some of the tasks they'd marked me down on and point out that they were wrong. they had them re-checked and confirmed I was right. looks like the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing lol.0

Hi, one of the remaining folk on the roster here
I have to say it's perturbing to see the turnover of names, and what seems like a bit of a cull lately (sorry to read about the terminations in this thread
)
It's clear that everyone struggles mightily to meet the metrics for the first couple of months, IF they survive past the first week, and nobody ever stops getting the odd unlucky weeks. One thing I've noticed every now and again and I get the distinct impression that a new person with a slightly different take on the GL has taken over making them. Perhaps coincidental but I feel this has happened again quite recently...
Worked for LB on a temp project which finished a year ago, have to say I feel a bit nostalgic for those paranoia free days, especially as the dollar continues to sink against the pound..0 -

Hi, and welcome to the thread.Am assuming you're on the FN project, as opposed to the other one? How long have you managed to survive so far? Sadly it was only 11 months for me.

One with the 5 in it, are the people here mostly FN? I've managed about 6 or so months thus far. Made around a year at LB.0

Yes, mostly FN for some reason. There were around 6 of us on the roster at the time I got terminated last week. As far as I know, only two have never posted on here, and TBH your username didn't really seem to fit with what I know of either of them!
Strange that they've been terminating people in the other group as well, then. Are you able to reveal how many raters they employ on the 5 project? Quite a few pages back, we were thinking it was likely to be a lot more compared to FN..0 -
True, we do typically have a few more than that. It should be more by a fair bit in order to meet requirements, and when new hires come through there are plenty but generally the drop off rate is high enough it's been as low as six and typically hovers around twice that or less. At this point there are only a couple of raters who have been on as long or longer than I have, which is a bit unsettling as by no means am I as good at meeting the metrics as those people were!
Interesting that FN has congregated here, at the other forum I sometimes post at it seems to mostly be the 5's. But just by reading what people write about either job, they sound entirely the same0 -

Any crowdsourcers about? Am only at about $15 for this pay period, so just wondered how much money others are making at the moment. Admittedly, I can't do any of the 3 or so tasks that are on there day in, day out as I failed the qualification tests, but the amount made still seems very low for 12 days of constantly logging in..0

Hi
I typically make $350-$500 per payment schedule...I work full time elsewhere so this is just as and when no real set hours.....
I previously worked for LB...much much much prefer the crowdsourcing tho...minimal stress, no set minimum hours and no targets to reach etc...if you can get your head round the qualification tests keep your spams low it is possible to make decent money....stick with itLBM April 2012....
