    "Contract termination" email received. :(

Just finished filling in an exit survey thing. And now time to start deleting stuff, I suppose..

Really sorry to hear this MallRat.

Their loss at the end of the day, looking at the Roster they'll soon have very few people left! Half of their consultants are removed this week! The metrics are ridiculous. I admire anyone who actually manages to master them.

I think I will look at LF, I've worked with LB before, so doubt I'd be looked at if I applied again.

Only problem is, I don't want to invest a great deal of time in LF if it's going to be a similar experience. I have grown tired of wondering if I'll be able to pay the next bill because of a SLR.

I have to log in with a headset and talk to them. i took it as an interview but perhaps it's not. Either way they sent a link to some study materials I need to look at beforehand but don't know how important they are and if I can get through without.

Was wondering if I might be able to apply, but don't really like the sound of having to talk. Plus, don't own a headset either.

Oh well.. Would prefer to do a few more than 12 hours per week, anyway.

I know. Funny how doing exactly the same task for LB was so much simpler. Possibly the client at fault, rather than ABH themselves, though?!

Really want to work for them too, but will have to be slightly dishonest if I'm ever going to get anywhere near that damn exam. Am just hoping they don't keep a list of all the people who've "failed" it in the past. Or at least if they do, they delete it after a year.. :o
  • I'm pretty sure they keep a list. I had also worked for LB in the past and think this is why they accepted then declined me, although BH don't seem to be so picky.

Didn't realise you'd already worked for LB. I was an Internet Assessor, then tried applying for Ad Assessor after my contract ended, but got an instant rejection. Even though they'd told me by email that it was OK to apply for the other roles.. More recently though, LB have been contacting ex-workers asking them to re-apply. (May not have been for the same job, though.. Not sure.) Unfortunately I haven't heard anything from them myself!
  • Well I've just completed the qualification set so fingers crossed.

Did it involve talking? Or just a standard online test? :)

Completed the SLR yesterday, and think I passed it. Appeared to be unusually logical.

If I did pass I expect it'll only be a matter of a few weeks before I'm dragged out again, however hard I try....

    Wow, you must be relieved.

    Congrats. :)

I would be relieved, but the truth is this only delays the inevitable...

Looked at LB's current roles, and saw they had loads available, some of which looked quite good (well, for this type of work) too bad I've already worked for them...

Well.. I reckon you should be able to last another few months, at least. Can't imagine it could possibly get any tougher than it has been recently, anyway. There's also the possibility that they could start doing things a little differently, as I doubt they want to lose ALL their raters - which could well be on the cards if they don't.. :D

When did your contract end with them? If it's over a year, might be worth emailing them to ask if they'll have you back?! I'd do the same, only the last time I did they said "OK", but then still rejected me anyway.. Maybe they just have a low opinion of me due to the fact that I was on review at the time they ended my contract, though. Who knows.
