Unfortunately it does seem normal for a lot of projects. It really is a lottery I'm afraid. I'd say keep checking in and maybe the client will load work on (they generally load work in big chunks once in a while, rather than small regular amounts)1

Yeah it's frustrating. The reason they do that is the client often put time priority on the tasks so they need people there ready to go straight away. All these partner sites are a relatively new thing they've done since buying out leapforce. I find it very messy at the moment (I have a bookmarks bar for appen and it currently has 7 sites in it which is silly)
My advice is just keep applying for others as they come up. If you get on a good, long term project you really are sorted. I'd personally not bother with any tasks that are "pay per hit" and only apply for the set wage per hour ones.2 -
I just signed up to appen. Its asking me to log into my pay pal. I am reluctant to do this. Why do they need me to sign in? Surely they just need my email to pay me? Anyone got any answers as to why they are asking this?May 2020 Wins - Pen, Old Speckled Hen,0
