Had a go at the Self Assessment form online but slightly confused...given that Appen pays in USD through a foreign platform, do you put this under foreign income when filling out SA?
Thanks in advance!
No, foreign income is earned out of country, this is normal earned income, just happens to be paid at their end in dollars. By the time it hits you bank (after payoneer withdrawal) it's in sterling, just use that number.0 -
I've just signed up to Appen, took exactly a week until I managed to take part in my first task
So far, so good.

Hey Guys,
I've just been accepted onto Pecwan - EQ. I was wondering if anyone here is on it? I see in the guidelines it mentions about having to provide reasons for why you cant decide on a rating, but i'm unsure as to if we have to provide reasons for all ratings, or if it is just for the cant decide one?
Many thanks0 -

I'm not on it personally, but normally comments are just there to clarify why you have made a decision that might be contentious. It sounds like you would do it for all "cant decides" and any time you want to explain why you have made a decision in a 50/500 -
I have been offered Sankuru - does anyone have any feedback? It appears to be very low-paid, but I am hoping you can bomb through it?0

Hi is anyone still active on here and working in appen? I've worked for them for a few years and this month there has been no work available on the project I've worked on long term and all of the others I've recently qualified for. Just seems unusually deathly quiet.0

I've been working for Appen for a few years too (started on Leapforce before it got taken over), and am still working on the same main project as when I started (Yukon). There is a whole list of other projects I've qualified for, supposedly, but none of them have any work on them, or there's just been radio silence since passing the various qualifications. Even Yukon went a bit quiet for a few weeks after new year, more so than usual but it seems to be picking up again now thankfully!
It will be interesting to see if anything comes of the other projects.1 -
My project still has a load on. We had a drop over xmas (which is weird, it's normally the opposite). You know what it's like though, you can have loads and then none, there's no logic to it. Just grin and bear it1

I have twice qualified for and passed the test for two separate jobs on this site (new user).
I just get this message- Thank you for completing the required forms. Your documents have been received and after we review them, we will finalize your registration. A follow up email will be sent if we notice any discrepancies in your paperwork.
No one has contacted me and after a few days it all seems to reset and i have to qualify for jobs again.
Can anyone shed any light on this?0 -
