Hello, I've got a few questions regarding ABH.
I completed the test for the Web Search Evaluator position on Friday and signed the NDA - was told to expect an email about Qualifications today, which would then begin tomorrow but haven't received anything. Should I be concerned?
The last email I received mentioned needing a headset. Is this a priority or will I be able to work round this? Would rather not have to buy or use one.
Finally, I'm not clued up with tax and was wondering how this would effect me. At the moment I work from home for a company for ten hours a week and am paid just around £10 p/h. They handle all my PAYE stuff, etc, but I have no idea how I'd go about paying tax on what I earn from ABH or if I'd even have to?0 -
stmc I presume you will need to register as SE to work for Appen, I think this is pretty standard for all WSE positions.
Is anyone working on the transcription project today? I just can't get the software to work and it was working fine this morning. I've done everything I can think of to make it work...:(This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hi guys, glad I've found this thread. I work on the freshness project in the UHRS system, I guess it's similar to Web evaluator position (but mostly concentrated on news queries). Does anyone experience problems with UHRS tool not recording tasks? I've noticed that when I work many hours, not all the tasks are being recorded. Some of them are somehow get "lost" (and time spent on them accordingly). This is very annoying as looks much like stealing my money. Did anyone face that? thanks!0

Yes, it happened quite a lot. Especially frustrating when you lost 10 - 15+ mins of work if the tool crashed. Used to lose an hour a week on average.0 -

How are people getting on with the transcription? I'm finding it mostly fine but keep running into indecipherable words (place names mostly) for which I have no basis for figuring out what they mean. Aus place names are obtuse...0

Yeah the place names are the hardest, though I find I'm getting used to them now. Have skipped the occasional one though when I just couldn't figure it out :rotfl: There's some weird and wonderful locations out there! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. How do you find the targets? I'm finding them quite tough tbh. I was slightly under last week, but that was because I got the time difference wrong, I worked late-ish on Sun PM but of course that was Mon AM their timeThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
