Come join at us LF, we've a lovely bunch :-P

Thanks. Will probably be attempting to do so soon. Just hoping they don't ignore my application this time, as it looks like there's now nothing else left to apply for.. :o

I look forward to the day :) To think that I chose to apply for ABH first because I heard such good things about them at the time...

If it wasn't for the people who are now ex-ABH posting now and again this thread would be considerably deader! I really appreciate you posting about your experiences with LB as it is so helpful for figuring out what to do after ABH.

It's unfortunate about the LB stuff, their communication is not the best.

I try to login to Appen UHRS but gives a DB error
says uhrs is experiencing a temporary DB connection error.
  • Does anyone know how to calculate the weighted metrics?
  • 13/15 against me already, such an awful rater apparently :rotfl: I hold my hands up for about 4, the rest - "most would keep looking" ones, the scores of which depend on what side of bed the auditor wakes up on.

It's the weeks you think you've done well that are the most dangerous, i got 90%+ on my RTAs last week yet i'm left needing another midweek audit swing against guys that don't miss to avoid SLR.

The smaller the roster is the more likely that you'll fall foul of that one guy's consistently perfect ratings, it seems. I think this might help explain the downward spiral of our little team GB.
  • Seems the case, paying for every mistake it feels, 16/19 against me.. brutal. Felt like a different guy was auditing today, comments were a bit more specific, also 1 or 2 I got back contradicted past approaches.

Looking at Appen's FB page, they appear desperate for UK raters.. can only imagine the failure rate. Holes for all eternity with the roster and the task count the size it is!

I personally will discourage UK raters from applying for WSE with Appen.

But it's not just Appen, it's the client that needs bringing into question.

Well, there haven't been any new names on the roster for a pretty long while now (W5). Perhaps people are reading this thread before applying:D
  • Hope they are! Would be useful reading for their 2nd week after they've been buried in audits and find themselves in SLR

I'm SLR bound myself (17/21 against :lipsrseal) but not really bothered.. only staying with this til october, if i get kicked before that i'm not losing much. Only so many times you can ride your luck with the metrics!
