Thanks for this. Had read about them taking over contracts from Appen in the US, but couldn't find anything about UK jobs when I looked on their website yesterday.

Just seems a shame that it looks like the exact same role that we've already been doing/been fired from on this thread, and had so many problems with.. "Requirements - Internet Explorer versions 9 or 10 as a browser (IE higher than 10 is not compatible with the toolbar)" - haha! And of course, no guarantee that they'll even accept applications from us ex-Appen lot, namely because I was told I wouldn't be allowed to work on this particular project again in the future at the time I was let go..

Seriously, it's brilliant, and I think they're making great strides to improve their rater feedback and review system, not to mention their community involvement. If you've read reviews from former raters in the past, discard them, as a lot has changed (even in the small time I've been there).

Yes, just to echo MallRat, applied to LF at least a month ago, and haven't heard anything back... so losing hope now!

Me too - I applied on the 27th May. I worked for lionbridge up until just before then. The lionbridge application also took ages - but they informed me it would at the offset. Though it is sort of reassuiring to see others also haven't heard from LF, was thinking they were just ignoring my application due to previous LB experience!

Coming up to 3 weeks for me. Am beginning to wonder if LF have now reached a point where they don't need any more workers. Seems like people have constantly been joining up for the last a year and a half, and I can only ever remember one poster on that thread who failed to get their contract renewed when the time came..

Am currently planning to give them a full month to get back to me, anyway. Will then have to think about making an application with this iSS, as I really don't want the 3 month gap on my CV to turn into a 4 month one.

LF gave me a 'your application may or may not be looked at, please wait' message after I completed the prescreen test, so I'm not expecting to hear from them very soon. I think I might pop in an application for Lionbridge in the meantime, and see if they insta-reject it or not..

Just had another look on the LB jobs page after reading this, and noticed that they're now advertising a role called "Internet Search Administrator". Which sounds suspiciously like WSE. As well as the new iSS position mentioned above, of course..

So, was all set to apply with iSS in a weeks time (assuming that I've still failed to hear anything back from LF), but am now wondering whether it would be worth making yet ANOTHER application to LB instead? :huh:

Interested to know what anyone else currently looking for something is planning to do at the moment, anyway..

I am tempted just to apply to iSS because I do really need to be earning very soon, this said, I haven't reapplied to LB since I was booted out, so am not sure whether to reapply.....

I've sort of given up on LF now to be honest, which is a disappointment as I was hopeful I'd at least hear something back...
