Had an email about a big transcription project from Appen. Disturbingly badly written considering the type of work, LOL. Anyway I'm going for it :beer:0

I've done numerous jobs for their transcription department. I've also taken part in some of their more unique tasks, such as building the spelling tests you see in qualification. Overall it's my favourite part of Appen, on the flipside I hate their WSE department. ^_^0 -

Any idea why they'd never invite me to take part in anything, despite having passed the test? Do they only ask people who worked on the first ever project or something? :huh:0 -
Pretty much the trancription management is far better than wse. The problem is there are no new data for one month. I don't know what is wrong with the the project, delay and such, but it is quite annonying that you don't have any work until they upload the new data.0

It's actually more than the other three main search engine companies. Whoever said $12 is wrong. Plus it's a fixed hourly rate in GBP not USD.0 -

I got a crowd sourcing job & I wanted to ask some questions from those who work there already,0 -

There's a thread about LB here. I wouldn't expect to get too many replies, but bumping it MAY bring it back to life.0 -

Yep submitted just after my post. Hopefully we'll get something back early next week!
Mallrat, have you done spelling tests for all the different accents? This project is apparently with aussie speakers. Can't think of any reason they would snub you if you've passed the tests.
I've can confirm the pay for iSoftStone is noticeably better than the other companies and in the queen's pounds tooHopefully this bodes well, it does at least show they've given consideration to the exchange fees and higher UK prices.

Not sure TBH. Are you registered (and up-to date) on both the Appen site AND AppenOnline?0
