Most of my cook-books are in storage, but google "applesauce" - as it's an American standby, you should get lots of hits. Basically you stew the apples until they gloop right down, you bottle the applesauce then cook with it - lots of American recipes. Also agree about fruit leathers & drying.
Not sure whether you would want to do this, but you can do low level selling at your gate without incurring planning wrath. Most people will drop money in an honesty box. I had a friend who put out apples & plums every year with an honesty box for a local charity - it was the only way she could afford to help them, so everyone was a winner.0 -

Have been given two bags of apples, apart from stewing for crumbles, or to add to porridge what else can I do with them?
Can I stew and then freeze it?

I also peel core and wedge and open try freeze before bagging, and juice and freeze that. Apple cakes ffreeze well too.0
