Thats not true. There are plenty.
Et tu, budgetflyer ? There are none. As soon as you choose a payment method the false price becomes £6 higher. Ryanair have been playing games in the last few days. They have a "from" £9.99 headline on their front page today (false), yet there are other £6 headlines to be found (also false). The day I posted there are none below £15.99 their was a "from" £14.99 headline on the front page which was totally baffling since MSE were announcing something different that day.

You may as well don a blindfold, give yourself a free half hour and get stuck into the sawdust and feel around and check all the packages actually in the lucky dip after you tear off all the wrapping paper (if you can be bothered with all the random security word inputs).

I booked 4 return flights from Edinburgh to Dublin for February the other day. Total cost: £127.12 or £31.78 each. I had to reload my Ryanair card.

10 years ago it would have cost more than the total for single flight to Dublin

Unless you happen to have a Ryanair Cash Passport. In which case the fares are as stated.

I don't, and you are right- for me, its to much hassle to get one, so I'll pay any fee they add on for those of us without one.

    BUT ONLY IF

    The overall cost is lower.

    I use this formula.

Add up all the costs for Ryanair flight = X

Add up all the costs for A N Other airlines flight = Y

If X is less than Y then I book with Ryanair

If Y is less than X then I book with A N Other.

You can ammend the formula to suit your needs ie if you just hate Ryanair, or maybe the flight times then you could go X + £75(+/- whatever) must be less than Y

That way when you are sitting in your super cheap seat to the Costa Brava, you can console yourself that you really had no alternative but to abandon your principles, as the difference was so great.

I`m not surprised there are £6 flights plus card fees to obscure places that nobody wants to go to.
Get me a £6 for Malaga.

Some of you guys are amazing, why would Ryanair sell their popular flights for £6? Do you guys know anything about business?
  • Why did they sell "a million free flights" (for 1p) in 2007, 2008 and 2009 ?

What do you think you know that we don't, jayok?

I think at this rate (of decline of Ryanair business) we will quite likely see a million free flights again in 2012.

I dont know why they sold a million flights in those years for 1p, but I certainly got a couple. So then, if a lot of others did the same as I did then the business model would have collapsed since you cannot fill a plane with 200 or so people for 1p each and have a successful business model - well not for long anyway. At the time, Ryanair hoped to recover the cost on the incidentals like suitcases, priority boarding, credit/debit card charging etc.

I don't think that the Ryanair business is in decline, in fact it seems to be performing reasonably well by comparison. Their stock price is not showing that they are in decline as it's held up pretty well.

I don`t know how Budgetflyer had the patience to find those cheap flights because after about three clicks on the dates and prices it cuts you off and you have to enter security codes again.

The website is now a total disaster and it must deter people from booking.
Goodness knows what O`L thinking about, it must surely be affecting sales.

I`ve had cheap 1p flights and plenty of £10 returns but even I`ve given up on the site.
It`s near impossible to use now.

That's good to hear. They'll reduce the price of the flights now as there'll be less takers!!

And then they will scrap the route.

    Is this what you want?

Or aren't you bothered where you travel to?
