I don't think we are any further forward on problems/issues, in fact , I suspect it is now worse.(DD problems)

I wont save millions going to Scottish power, Npower came close but having tried Npower years ago their customer service was awful, may of improved since then. I get my sign up, but the most satisfying bit is the quote above, cant wait to say bye to them, just had to have the whole DD increase debate with them (used online rep chat rather than eternal phone queue) wanted to increase it to £100 from £33, we settled on £50 lol, bless em

There are many threads but here is one when Ofgem first issued their guidance.

Thanks for that, I stand corrected. ;)

I think I have been confused because I am with EDF, when you sign up you get the bonus for signing up, if you leave early you lose the bonus. This is not the same as being charge a penalty for leaving, so I think that is where I got mixed up along the way.

Sorry Liam but the Welcome Bonus on OS7 would not be lost if you changed Supplier. You posted on that thread so there shouldn't have been any confusion.

For example I switched away from OS7 following the price increase around July without losing the bonus.

    :o Sorry.

That thread you have quoted is from when I first joined EDF over a year ago. I can't remember what I ate for tea last night. :D

In my defence I blame the energy companies for confusing me. :rotfl:

Hi all, I'm also on this tariff, and have decided to move over to Eon saving me £99 per year based on my annual kwh.

I'm going to switch today, so I'll definitely end up with some standard charges which is annoying, but hey ho. Better late than never. I'm sure there's cashback to be had via Quidco too.

    Standard charges?

There should not be any termination charges if you switch now.
