Not relevant. They did something wrong, that is not acceptable.

That the staff had done something wrong.

Clearly their response was unreasonable, hence the dressing down.

The employer does not have to accept their responses.

For the record, I am not a WUM. I own a profitable business turning over around £500,000 per annum and have seen my share of poor employees. Employers are clever people, our instincts are second to none.

    I call troll!

No one could be this stupid and this lacking in self awareness.

Obviously someone just playing the fool by pretending to be a !!!!!!. :D

The staff were at fault. Staff doing their job properly do not get a bollocking.

The staff should have been sacked on the spot. The employer can afford better legal representation than the scrotes who refuse to do their job correctly.

Oh well with that view goodbye Asda, Tesco and every business, because you can 100% guarantee that all staff have made a mistake at some point.

placed wrong price in price gun
forgot to add stock to epos system before placing on shelves
    placed stock on wrong shelf
blocked an isle with a stock trolly

so staff should be sacked for these.

IF this were true then you'd have half an inclin on employment law and tribunals, you clearly have not! You would also be able to form a much better arguement and reasoning than you have displayed in this thread.

Yes. It's about time we moved away from making excuses for our "mistake culture".

A customer once purchased a drink from my outlet. Two minutes later she came back to complain that the cup leaked when held upside-down.

Because you don't get a bollocking for being a model employee and doing your job correctly.

You do if you are getting blamed for someone else's sloppy/poor work...

Then you should have already alerted the employer to that employee's sloppy standards.

Oh, do go and play somewhere else.

This blatant stupidity you exhibit might amuse your pea brain but it's very tiresome for the grown ups here. rolleyes.gif
