As for my industry, take-away fast food.

You're one of the greasy spotty teens working in Mcdonalds the poster who said that was spot on, now you have admitted it.

Either than or you own one of the burger vans that sit at the side of the road.

Exactly. The moment they have a job for 12 months, it opens the floodgates for tribunals. Never employ anyone over a year.
I'd be impressed if they stayed that long TBH

this goes for you as if you did then you would be in jail and closed down for the amount of tribunals against you.

anyway a tribunal can be opened from day 1 of employment, just that the penalties and compensation are higher after 12 months.

I find it confusing when you are going on about 'scum' staff on here and giving them the boot, then write something on another thread like below.

''There is no requirement for a customer to be polite, or even pleasent when in a retail environment. Afterall, the staff and company are all there for one reason, to extract cash from the customers! Personally I don't understand why some people are so rude, but there are just a lot of !!!!!!!s out there.

I do think some people take things too far though and it's about time retailers started fighting back. Each and every day I see and hear members of the public verbally abusing retail workers, with personal insults and even threats of violence. Just because someone works in a shop does not mean it is acceptable not to treat them as a human being. ''

Have you had a bad day and all the chicken has come in smelling funny? Has the cheese got impacted in your brain and taken any sense of decency and staff morale with it?

I find it amazing you have staff working for you with the manner you would deal with them. Amazing more is how you have any custom !

You need a better understanding of tribunals and how businesses protect themselves.

Ive been in business 12 yrs next month and know fully employment laws etc. i never treat any of my staff the way you seem to treat yours.

I wouldn't have thought you would have much call to know that in your line of work.

Staff deserve to be treated with respect when doing their job and should be rewarded for doing a good job. They should be kicked straight to the kerb for falling short of the mark however.

I honestly think you do not own a business yourself. You have as said above been employed by someone to run them, if you are not a troll. No Company director would come on here and say they treat staff in such a way. You have no respect for the business itself if you sack loyal staff after 364 days. Loyal staff bring more business in rather than lose it. Must be the fast food industries way of working but any owner in their right mind would look after and nurture staff, to bring the best out, not have the threat of the sack hanging over their head for any misdamenour !

Anyway it's 7 pm, shouldn't you be cooking some chicken and frying some chips?

And yet you clearly don't know how to utilise them for your own gain.

my staff are well adequate to work on their own without me as i trust them and they trust me. if i need to tick them off they are taken to one side and talked to in a pleasant manner and never infront of other staff or the public.

my staff tend to stay with me as i treat them like human beings and not something you trod on. even the temp staff that i get through new deal type schemes are treat like human beings

I have sussed it, you only employ illegal immigrants !

That way you have no threat of tribunals and get rid of them before 12 months, so the UK Border police don't catch up with you !

Brilliant, but simple. And a little illegal.......

Ha ha! Azari publicly berated you and called you stupid, which (according to your own logic) proves that you are stupid and deserved such comments. Good posters deserve to be posted with respect, but if you can't do a good job of posting comments then you should... what's the phrase... "be kicked straight to the kerb" for falling short of the mark.
