  • Why does it not like my brilliant word to describe men?? (5 letters in total, cross between twit (first 2 letters) and the naughty c word.(last 3 letters)):rotfl:
  • Thanks for your post ED and Dolphin. OH told me what she'd put in the message and what his reply was. I've learnt my lesson from sneaking at messages.......that's how he's been found out before. :(

We've played happy families this afternoon. Thankfully MIL didn't mention to my parents about the money we'd lent of them. I was on tenderhooks all afternoon. I hate 'withholding the truth' from my parents.:(

We have spoken and I've told him how it makes me feel. Apparently she told him not to tell me about these 'secret' messages. So in a way it is a step forward that he has actually told me. I tried to explain to him how she will think she's got one over on me.

EE - you know what that say, the best revenge you can do to a mistress is let them keep the men they are having the affair with.:rotfl:

I asked him if he would mind sorting through the paperwork that was on the side whilst I did the ironing, he happily obliged.......blooming men!!!

On the money front today was NSD5.:)

Oh Alice I'd be pretty p'd off too. Men, bl00dy impossible sometimes and SHE seems like a pretty evil c0w to be honest

:rotfl: at EE, I feel the same way about my OH this weekend. We're celebrating 20 years together on Thurs, at the moment for me it feels like 21 years too long :rotfl:

  • Thanks mummy and granny. He hasn't heard from her today, so he says and I've got to believe him. :-/

Back to the money front. Bcard have written to OH and withdrawn the payment plan we had set up with them. They've sent a copy to stepchange so will see what happens. (Assume this is because they've only received half payments for the last 2 months, although back to normal now).

Still no heating on, I've got the candles lit and fleece and scarf on. Managed to get the last bit of washing dry in airing cupboard.:)

Got parents evening x2 and an opening evening to go to this week.....at least it will be warm there.:rotfl:

Bcard are one of my least favourite predators atm, not that I like any of them very much, (well ok maybe the ones that accepted F&fs of <22%)

They've cancelled OHs payment plan because we wrote & explained we couldn't pay them as much anymore. Now they're threatening to restart the interest & other charges & ask for normal minimum payments. Like that's going to help isn't it!

Long may the silence from HER continue.

OH put the heating on tonight. It must have been cold as he's always the last to feel it. I hope the parents evening is warm x

(To rescue your signature go into it in your control panel and press save, all those pesky !s will disappear then)

  • Thanks for the tip granny, sig sorted.:)

Bcard have carried on charging OH interest (albeit reduced rate), yet my debt with Bcard which is our biggest debt they have stopped interest on. They gave us the most grief with phone calls etc at the beginning of our DMP. Hope your OH can get something sorted.

I managed to get through to the tax credit people this morning, explained the situation and have got to call back on Thursday evening (they are on strike tomorrow so limited cover) and go through the budget with them to 'prove' we can't pay and hopefully have the payment deferred/reviewed April 2015. Not sure how we came up with that date?!?

We should have £7.41 in our account until OH's payday on Thursday. For the first time in ages I daren't look.:(:o

  • I asked DFW on her thread about her heated airer - this is what she said

    I love it!
I have the largest one from l@keland, and thought it was rather pricey but it's brilliant for wet weather like we have now. AND it heats up whichever room you put it in. My MIL has been sold on it whilst she's been over and is off to buy the smaller version for herself :T.

Shirts/thin cottons dry in a couple of hours if laid across it properly (you mustn't overload it!) and things like towels take a fair few hours but they do dry and I have found if I have a blanket/sheet over the top it dries much much quicker as the heat stays in better.

Think I am swaying towards one - some of the feedback on the website says the large one is very large and to measure where you want to put it before you buy it!!
  • Thanks EE, I've been reading the reviews on line this morning too. Certainly the low energy consumption is a bonus. Just a shame we haven't got £92.:(

Last night we had parents evening (all good :)) and an open evening to go to. Still no heating on. :)

For the first time in ages really don't want to check our bank account online. We should have £3.75ish left until tomorrow when OH gets paid.

    I've pegged out today.....a little optimistic. ;)

  • Up to 8 NSDs but this morning was a bit spendy. Split the shopping between @ldi and sburys, spent £56 in total. Thursday got petrol £30 and called into cheapy shop spent £13 on carp.:o. Also sent DS1 some money.

This morning paid £8 for 3 cans of pop, coffee and 3 hot sausage rolls.

Couldn't get through to tax credit line on Thursday, will try again tomorrow.

Have booked a few days off during half term, everybody needs a haircut but can hold out until then. Also need to pay for school trip for DS3 next week. Also need to buy a new toilet seat, long story but we don't want any accidents if 'anything' gets caught in the split in the seat.;)

Hope everybody has pegged out.:D got 3 loads out first thing and half of it dry already.:)

Off to a special wedding anniversary party tonight, no gifts as such just a contribution towards a cruise  will put £20 in the card.

    Heating still off.:)
