What a day!! I wasn't going to mention but I will.:o There wasn't any football for the kids this morning but just nipped to the sports club as OH had to sort some bits out. Spent £3.50 on drinks and hot sausage rolls.
Came back and DS and his friends had just got up and were having breakfast, so I went upstairs to open the curtains and windows.....room full of males over night .
Went back downstairs and I could smell something really unpleasant, it turns out that somehow somebody had left...how shall I put it....human waste on the bedroom carpet and I had trodden in it.....with bare feet.....and walked it all round upstairs, down the stairs, hall and then into the kitchen.:(
Please bear in mind we have pale carpets everywhere. the only easy room to clean was the kitchen as it's tiled.
I was absolutely speechless as well as feeling sick. I am sure it was just one of this things but how and why I'm still not sure.
Spent 2 hours cleaning the carpets, and my foot!
We have spoken to DS (I didn't want to say anything in front of his friends so to embarrass him), because of where it was we think we know who it was....not that it really matters now. Pretty sure it was just an accident.
Went to @ldi this afternoon, spent £43 and used voucher. Got kitchen roll, cling film and some store cupboard stuff...as well as food stuff too.
The washing nearly dried today, just finishing it off on the airers and airing cupboard. Candles lit (at least we are using all the 1kea tea lights we've impulsively purchased over the years:o) and heating still off.
Have just ordered another Christmas present too.
Quite an eventful and stressful day, looking forward to an extra hour in bed in the morning.

OMG Alice, I'm a bit speechless to be honest:eek::eek:, you handled the situation very well though I think I may just have had a melt down.
Fingers crossed you have a better day tomorrow.
take care.x.0 -
OMG Alice!!! I can't believe you stayed so calm, I would have totally flown off the handle... gip!!! Im imagining they won't have been drinking at their age, not that that would excuse it, i just can't get my head around it .
Hope today is better for you! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Thanks pwps and mummy, I'm surprised I didn't totally lose it. I've given the carpet another clean with antibacterial cleaner this morning. I'm still shaking my head over the whole event.:o
Had a lovely lie in this morning, have walked the dog and got the dinner on now. Everybody has gone to the sports club to watch the football so I'm home alone for an hour.:D
Tomorrow DS2 has an opticians and doctors appointment. So whilst we are out I'll go into town to the 'very good value for money' card shop (going to get all November and December birthday cards), also need to get soap and deo (for me, OH and DS2).
No rush to get the ironing done as the school uniforms can wait.:)

:eek::eek::eek::eek:
When I was a teenager I walked around barefoot and while at the park I stood in some dog doodoo . I still remember the feeling now (insert sicky smiley), luckily I did not trudge it home !!
We got home last night from the village quiz and one of our older cats had used the kittens litter tray (the older cats go outside usually) and the kitten had tried to use it and trampled cat poo all through the lounge :eek::eek::eek:
So at 11.30 last night I was cleaning the cat litter tray and DH was on his hands and knees with baby wipes and anti-bac scrubbing the lounge:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Hope you enjoy an hour of alone time - make sure you do no housework!!
Have pegged out yesterday and today - we have quite a good wind so the washing is drying superquick0 -
Yuk EE, that reminds me of the time I 'scooped' cat poo up (by mistake obviously:rotfl:) whilst we were gardening and it went right down my nails. well done on getting your washing dry?:)
Mummy, sorry I didn't confirm that our 'poo' incident was not alcohol related.:o
Yesterday we went into town, paid for parking £2, got cards (although they didn't have the 7 cards for £1 deal because the Christmas cards are out) spent £2.60. Kids had some sweets from the £1 shop. I was going to get the deo from there, it was £1 for 125ml but I went into b0dycare and they were £1.25 for 250ml.........but forgot to get the soap!! Doh.
Went to postoffice to post cards, £1.75. Had HM cottage pie and used up all the fresh veg for tea.
Did all the ironing yesterday afternoon.:) the washing I'd pegged out is now on the airers, but there's another load in the basket.:(
I'm going to take DS3s school shoes back today. They have started to come apart at the front, only had them a few weeks. will get soap whilst we are out.:D

Morning Alice,
I suspected as so re the incident as I didn't think they were old enough to be drinking!! Thanks for clarifying :rotfl:!!!
Have a good day today xxMummytogirls x0 -
Certainly not looking forward to alcohol related incidents when they get older mummy, will leave OH to deal with them then.:rotfl:
Beware! Possibly too much info in the next bit, if you're queasy don't read on.............
Today has been a little eventful, Mother Nature arrived during night.:A Went out this morning and whilst getting DS2 prescription had a little accident on the chair at the chemist. Couldn't leave it so mentioned it to the the shop assistant whilst apologising profusely. Went back home, quickly got changed etc whilst the kids waited in the car then went to sort DS3s shoes out, then went to sburys (parents coming for a spot of lunch so wanted to get some fresh rolls etc). Whilst in sburys I felt really hot and faint. Didn't want to sit anywhere in case of another mishap but had no choice. Waited an hour then felt ok but another mishap, thankfully on a plastic chair.........thank you Mother Nature.:o
After my parents left I tidied some paperwork and cleaned downstairs loo, then lay on the sofa for an hour. Just starting to feel normal again. Think I'll get my iron checked. Have been taking tranexamic acid to keep things in check but obviously failed today.
Back to the money front......
Spent £24 in sburys and sent DS1 some money.
Need to get kids haircuts and they have a dentist appointment Friday, v.busy week.:)

Oh Alice I feel for you, I have to take spare underwear out with me at that time of the month and I always double up (pads/tampons) when I go out as I have a tendency to flood, I hate being a women sometimes.
Apologies to any men reading.0 -
You poor woman. I know how you feel though, it's happened to me in public a couple of times now. I don't think we should be so embarrassed, as it's completely natural, but I guess it's years of stigma built up around it. I remember talking about it at school, and being told off for making the boys feel uncomfortable. I didn't say anything graphic or bad, so I told off the teacher myself.
Still, very unpleasant feeling. Hope you feel better now, less faint and all that.Debts: ASDA Loan - £6,848.01
