I'm another one who thinks you should keep your diary going as you save and pay for the items that have had to be 'on hold' for the past few years and I'd include a trip to see DS1 in that. I'm guessing you've also got a nest egg/emergency fund to build up and from a previous post a mortgage that's only a few years away from being paid off . Your many folowers would love to hear your journey as you achieve and tick off these.3

Thank you EE, Dawnybaes, V & Spendless. I am going to try and keep the diary going. Like you say build up some money, get the jobs done that we have had to put off, and hopefully have a break. We did have a spend on the garden last week, turf, wood/felt to repair shed, paint, spade and some stones £245. Even that fills me with horror. Anyway we were busy yesterday sorting the garden. OH is back out there this morning. I’m on washing duty and doing some bits around the house.I’ve updated the spend diary, council tax and water rates start again next month.DS3 is back on school dinners, I’m hoping that takes the equivalent £s off the shopping bill. OH did have an item of clothing when I went shopping this week, so I took £10 off my n3ctar points so spend was £8. His wages are back to normal now so that will help.I’m finding myself wishing for the first of next month, just so I can start fresh....again. Wishing my life away here!
Hope everyone has a great day.XxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Nearly the end of the month. I’ve just updated the spending diary budget. We spent £612 on food and stuff. That does include the clothes that we bought but I think it’s the snacks that a pushing the spend up. I have put on weight during this lockdown, just snacking on all the wrong things. I’ve got loads of things I could do but choose to eat half sometimes a whole packet of biscuits and with a cup of tea. No excuse. We’ve had the car in garage again, only a small thing this time £35.Next month we start paying the council tax and water rates again.Pegged out today, perfect day for drying washing.😀

Oh wow, congratulations Alice. I've not been around for a while so hadn't seen your news. You started your diary at roughly the same time as me so it's been a long haul.
