Hi Bailey Babe, the weather has not been the best has it. I just don’t like to have it hanging around the house, and although we do have a tumble drier I don’t use it. I like to peg out (unless it’s raining, snowing), then bring it in and put on the heated airer overnight and it’s done. 😃

Happy Valentines Day 💖
We haven’t done anything for Valentines Day, well I bought OH a bar of his favourite chocolate, and bought myself my favourite chocolate bar. 😂
This weeks spends are boiler service, bulbs for car, prescription, vets bill (unexpected but at least we had the money for it) and £110 on shopping. My shopping bill does include all cleaning stuff and pet stuff etc.Yesterday I did nothing, absolutely nothing, didn’t lift a finger, just snoozed on the sofa and watched trashy TV. I ended up going to bed quite early as well. I thought I would feel fresh as a daisy this morning but I actually feel just a tired. 🤦🏻♀️😀
Going to potter round today and at least do something productive.XxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

It really hard to imagine that by this time next week we could be debt free. 😱 I actually find the whole thing very scary and I am nervous. We have had spends this week, unexpected vet bill and washing machine had to be repaired but I took the money from the emergency fund.Yesterday’s food bill was £107 all in. I’ve looked at the foods bill over the last month or so and it is snacks that push the bill up. We do spend a lot on fruit and veg but I find everyone has fads on fruit. I’ll buy say 8 bananas and they will be gone in 3 days so I buy 12 the following week and nobody eats them. We have eaten like kings during lockdown as I’ve been home have had much more time to prepare. We are going to try and cut back we could all do with losing a few pounds!I have to say working from home is not all it’s cracked up to be for me. Yes I’ve been here for DS1, but OH has been here too so at times it’s been a bit claustrophobic. I think it worked before Christmas when I was a few days in the office and a few days at home. Anyway I’m at home safe for now.We did major cleaning and sorting yesterday and all the ironing. DS1 has tried school uniform on today, thankfully it fits. He just needs to try his shoes on.Hope everyone has a great day.

I’m debt free.(Apart from the mortgage), that’s it I’ve done it. I’ve sat and pondered for an hour thinking how to put it and there it is, all done. 11 years, 35K gone. We’ll get neither back but there you go.I’m stuck for words but I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that posted on my diary, the encouragement and words of wisdom and advice, I appreciate them all. Thank you.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

What to do now. I’ve just updated spend diary for February. £550 on food, toiletries, pets stuff, cleaning stuff etc. This weeks shopping did include £15 on pizzas?? Petrol £40. OH goes back to work so petrol will go back up. I did order some bits for the garden £27. Have done a deal with the broadband as that was out of contract ties in with one of the mobiles so we will be paying less and we had a mobile phone out of it. It took some haggling but I stood firm.
i actually feel very weird. I would image its how you feel when you hit target weight loss or complete your studies (of which I haven’t done either), quite strange. I can’t tell anyone in real life as this was top secret.Anyway must get on she says with a smile. Going to do a bit in the garden, got washing on the line and we’ve got a gammon joint for dinner,
Hope you all have a great day.

Hi Alice I have been following your diary all the way through. Many congratulations on becoming debt free. What’s your plans for the spare cash? Make a nest egg? Pay down the mortgage? It would be lovely to see your savings grow. xx2025 Decluttering 9127⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
