  • Hello Alice think I have posted on here before. Sorry about your lady problems. Have you ever thought about a mirena coil? It will stop all that and you will save a fortune in tampons and towels. Maybe a visit to the gp is in order. Its awful to have to put up with that. I haven't looked back since having one fitted. Sorry boys if any of you are reading this thread.:o
Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.
  • Oh Alice I feel for you, I have to take spare underwear out with me at that time of the month and I always double up (pads/tampons) when I go out as I have a tendency to flood, I hate being a women sometimes.

    Apologies to any men reading.

Aww thanks pwps, I ate it too......would rather have to shave everyday.:rotfl:
You poor woman. I know how you feel though, it's happened to me in public a couple of times now. I don't think we should be so embarrassed, as it's completely natural, but I guess it's years of stigma built up around it. I remember talking about it at school, and being told off for making the boys feel uncomfortable. I didn't say anything graphic or bad, so I told off the teacher myself.
Still, very unpleasant feeling. Hope you feel better now, less faint and all that.

Thanks Steerpike, yeah it is completely natural but like you say we can still be made to feel its something to be ashamed about. I think I felt more embarrassed about it because the boys were with me.

    Feeling a lot better now.:o:)

Thanks ab, a MC has been mentioned to me by the doctor, something I think I'll have to investigate further. It's one of those things where I always put everybody else first and when it comes to me needed an appointment always out it off.

    Sorry guys.

  • Today was a NSD. :)

    Couldn't get onto the internet earlier......panic stations.:rotfl:

This morning we collected the leaves up, and tidied up in the garden. No pegging out today.;). This afternoon I've just chilled on the sofa whilst the kids played on the games console.

Some christmas presents arrived today. Trying really hard not to add things to these presents. I've got a lovely little bag as a gift and I feel like I should be putting something else on the bag ie a little mirror or something.........no no no it will be just fine!!

  • Hi Alice,

Poor you suffering like that, hope you get to the bottom of it as I can't imagine that being nice to deal with at all!

Glad you had a nice chilled out afternoon yesterday, I think we all need this sometimes since we are always running about here and there.

Hi mummy, your post did make my smile.......hope you get to the bottom of it ;). It was really nice just to chill out yesterday.....still get that nagging guilty feeling though.

Today we went to the town park. Then took DS3s new trainers back as I noticed the stitching was coming undone. They didn't have the same ones in stock but they've got a delivery coming tomorrow, so got a credit note and will go back tomorrow (that way avoided meltdown). Luckily DSs wellies were in the boot!!

Tomorrow we'll go and get replacement trainers, get some cash to pay childminder (half rate this week) and cash for the weekend. Also need a few bits from supermarket just to top up. It's been really great not having to do packed lunches, kids have eaten much better in my opinion. Will also get petrol.

Had a look at the budget, it's going to be extra extra tight. We need to pay in-laws back £100 and DS1 needs some extra funds.

DS1 has 9/10 months left, not sure what happens after that, it would be such a shame if he couldn't do at least another year (would be able to graduate then). Need to sort his flights out too, his sponsor is still paying his education fees not covered by sponsorship (most covered by scholarship but still needs top up). Don't feel that we can ask for any more of a financial contribution.:(. If we were paying off this debt we'd be ok.:(

On a lighter note nearly the end of our 'no heating til 1st November' challenge. If the weather carries on like we should be able to leave it off for a few more weeks. How has everybody got on?:)

Another load of washing dried outside today.:)

No washing on the line since the weekend but only because we were always going to be out until well after dark and it would have been damp again at best so I'd of needed to rehang it to dry it out and I couldn't be bothered with making extra work. Today we are home all day so washing line will be used to the max.

Our heating is off and we were hoping to keep it off until the 1st November, earlier in the month I wasn't sure we were strong enough as the weather was so bitter, but now I have no intention of putting the heating on this weekend even though we will have guests. I would love to not put the heating on until 1st December but I don't think that's realistic, just trying to remember each day without heating is good for the bank balance. When eventually the heating does go on I plan to put it on low.

We have been sweltering for the last few nights - it has been 14c at night:eek:

It's supposed to get colder this coming week but hoping we can keep the heating off still.

No washing dried outside since the weekend - I'm with Baileys Babe, we go to work early and get back after dark and the washing gets damp so not put any out.

I think this weekend might be rain so not sure what I will do to get the washing dry although all school stuff washed last weekend so no big deal if I don't do any washing.
  • :j Woop Woop we did.....no heating on.:D

BB and EE, know what you mean about the washing. I've been off this week so have been here in time to get it in before it gets damp again. I'm hoping to utilise DS2, hopefully if I peg out he can get it in when he comes home from school at 4.00pm.

Yeah going to to try and leave the heating off until 1st December, but like you say BB will take each day as it comes.....or unless our parents come round.:rotfl:

Yesterday I did a food shop, needed some bits to take to a party or I could I waited until today, so total food for October £408:eek:

Petrol spends for October, car 1 £150 and car 2 £40.

Yesterday I banked the rest of the 20ps and £2 coins. Total collected in 20ps was £110.20 and £2 coins was £88. Not anywhere near the £250 of each I was hoping for, but will carry on saving them.

    NSDs for October was 11.

Didn't get kids hair cut yesterday but OH called in on his way home and went to a different barber.....£10:eek:

Last night went to Halloween party at the sports club, spent £20. Could of done with out it really from a financial point but still, we had a great time anyhow.

Tonight we've off to a firework display, free entry, we won't be going in the fun fair.:(

Well that's enough ramblings, going to iron the cushions covers I've washed.....rock n roll.;)

  • Have done meter readings this morning, we are £94 in credit and have only used £22 over 2 weeks. Will keep the heating off for as long as possible and will keep burning the candles.:)

No pegging out today. But today should be a NSD.
