Also had our roadside assistance cover renewal - £96 for me and DS1. It was only £35 for me last year and then had an offer to add another person for £5, a bit of an increase this year.
OH has had a letter from Akt1v K@p1t@l offering him a fanastic opportunity - 'pay £1170.92 by 30th April and the remaining £130.10 will be cleared. We wish eh!
DS3s swimming lessons due next week - £38 and we are having our haircut too - £25 (for 4 of us).
Me and OH just bimbling along. Nothing has really changed, I'm still dealing with all the money side of things but I'm really trying to change the 'child/adult' relationship that we have developed. We still haven't managed a night out together yet either.
Hope everybody has a great weekend.......and we get some sunshine.

Alice I have had one of those letters today from Aktiv Kapital offering me a fantastic opportunity of settling for 90% by the 30th April !
Was yours originally an MBN@ Account and have you ever requested the CCA from them or Aktiv Kapital ?
Sorry you and OH haven't managed an evening out together, sounds like its long overduex

Hello Alice, yey to the freezer working, long may it continue to function well.
It would be lovely to be able to say yes to these offers of saving some money and paying off the debts with reduced amounts wouldn't it. Somehow, they don't appear to get, if you can't afford the monthly amounts, then clearly you can't afford to pay off 90% in a lump either. It really makes me angry that they don't seem to sit up and take notice.

Hi Pinot, it was originally a V1rg1n CC that then became MBN@. We haven't requested the CCA from either MBN@ or AK.
I'm well out of my depth regarding F & F's, CCA etc. I know when we sent the letters to the CCC's about our DMP with Stepchange we signed them....oops! It was only after they'd been posted that I read on here not to sign them.:(

Totally agree Granny, we had a letter from our original bank when we started our DMP offering us a deal to pay our OD off. What bit don't they get?? Doh!
I'd banked with that bank for 20years (since starting work) and kept a clean slate for the majority of that time, no overdraft, loans or anything until the end and it all went a bit (well a lot) pear shaped and they didn't want to know.

Forgot to put in my post yesterday that I'd been food shopping.....how could I forget! Spent £86 between Sburys and A1d1, have been trying the A1d1 fruit and veg again, still a bit hit and miss (must be our store) but will see how it goes. Also bought some bits to restock the freezer.
Still on 6 NSDs, today would of been one but ended up getting DS3 something to eat at the football this morning (must be having a growth spurt as he'd eaten everything I'd taken), so a LSD £1.40.
Managed to peg out this morning, got back from football and washed the car just before it poured with rain. Luckily the washing had nearly dried, just needs airing.
Weekly update on pots - 20p pot upto £44.60 and £2 pot upto £62.

Well that weekend went a bit quick. Today I have mostly spent clearing up after DS3, who has obviously picked up a bug....I'll spare you the details.:o Will see how he is in the morning, need a Plan B if he's not well enough for school.
Me and OH have had a rollercoaster day, nothing too serious, we seem to be OK in the week......perhaps weekends are the problem when we actually spend time together.:rotfl:
Today was NSD7, but have got a some 'spends' this week, haircuts and DS3s swimming. Also car needs petrol, I knew I should of put more in last week.
Also must get fleabaying again, and sort the loft for carboot stuff.
More bits fell off the chimney today.......will have to sort this sooner rather than later.
Hope everybody has a great week.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

We have a predicament.
On the quiet we have been trying to 'sort out' DS3 going to study abroad. Family member has offered us help us out with no rush for us to pay back, DS3 has some funds although he is still paying for his car insurance and we said we'd pay for some of the 'things' that are required (when and where available). Plus hopefully he receives a grant when he gets there....but can't apply til he's started.
OH has been dealing with one of the 'things' that has been required. We needed to pay with a money order or bankers draft in $'s. OH informed me today that he picked up the the money order today and posted it with the forms.......but the money order turned out to a £100 dollar bill. (Cost us £64 out of emergency fund, it's not an emergency but....!!!). Now we have no way of proving we have paid this, I suppose it depends how honest they are.Not quite sure what to do, do I email them and explain we've sent cash or sit tight and email at the end of the week asking them just to confirm they received the forms (and payment!).
I've really tried not to make this diary seem like I'm having a go at him all the time, and I haven't bothered to note most of the stuff he has done and shouldn't of/not done but should of. Or is he just a bloke that doesn't think!!!
He's gone to football.........which is good as I'm so angry with him.xx

Good for you doing a car boot/ebaying. I got fed up over Easter and sent dh to the charity shop with two boots full of 'stuff', and to the tip with a whole car load of more 'stuff'. Thanks dfw321, fingers crossed we can sort it.......quickly and without having to send more money!
We ended up do the same with some 'stuff' last year, it was in a big heap in the hall and when ever I came downstairs it was there, when I went in the living room it was there and in the end we just took it all the charity shop. Sometimes I think you've just got to do whats best at the moment.
Have been a bit more sorted this year and had a good run on ebay.....but must get going again though!:(
