  • Now that we've lost an hour, this morning is just rushing on by. We've had our Easter egg hunt (indoors!), DS2 has gone to cricket and DS1, DS3 and OH are washing the cars.

Yesterday we got the vent cover, and purchased a new webcam but we've ordered the bulbs from a shop of fleabay they were 50% cheaper on there.

We're off to a family meal at a relatives later. We've got a bottle of wine in the cupboard we can take so today should be a NSD, that would make 11 for the month.

Spends for the month - petrol £155, (although OH has put £60 in DS1s car this month). Groceries - £384.92 a bit better than previous months but still plenty of room for improvement!! We won't be doing packed lunches for the next week and a bit so that will help with the food budget. Really need to sort the freezer situation out though.

Washing did OK on the line yesterday, it's aired overnight and has been added to the mountain of ironing.

I still don't feel 100%, and OH went back to the hospital about his eye this morning and he's got to go back tonight to see the Doctor. Although he did say it felt a bit better this morning so fingers crossed he's on the mend.

    Next week I'm going to-
1/ Call water board about the water meter
2/ Get quotes for the chimney
3/ Get quotes for boiler service
4/ Start getting quotes for car insurance
5/ Spring clean everywhere and sort stuff for fleabay/car boot

Hope everybody has a great day. xx

  • We've had a lovely afternoon, eaten too much, laughed lots and generally had a good time.:)

Today was a NSD so that is 11 for the month.

OH has been referred to the eye hospital, waiting for an appointment, they said they'd call him on Tuesday.

Forgot to add to my list for next week, get a quote for a new fuse box......it's alright getting all these quotes but no idea when we'd be able to afford it all.:o

No heating on today as we've been out, I am really hoping that it can stay off now but looking at the forecast it's not looking good.

7/ Make dentist appointment for DS2 and DS3
6/ Make opticians appointment for DS2

    We've had a lazy day today......doesn't happen very often.:D

I did peg out 4 loads of washing and run the vac round but that was about it. The mind's willing but the body still isn't 100%.

I've added a couple of things to my list so hopefully I can crack on and make a start tomorrow.

Today was NSD1. :) But we did have the heating on quite a bit today. :(

Thanks mummy, not very often we have a 'do nothing' day so it was good just to chill.

Had another good day today, done the ironing, went to post office to post parcel, sorted spending diary/budget, played board games with the kids, parents called in for a cuppa, kids have been on the trampoline now they've gone over the field to play football......and we've had sunshine practically all day.:)

Don't want to go into this too much be we've been 'offered' the money to fund DS1s trip, which sounds great but not sure how/when we'd pay it back. There's no pressure time wise but not sure I can cope with the thought of us (me, OH and DS1) having to pay £8Kish back.............felt stressed so I ate the spare Easter Egg...not good!

With regards to my list, waiting for electrician to call back, have sorted dentist (not due til May after all that!).

    Still can't get onto Freecycle.:(

OH got an emergency appointment tomorrow about his eye. He's tried to book a days holiday as he doesn't get paid for time off 'sick' but they've told him he needs to give a weeks notice to book holiday, so looks like he'll be a days pay down next week.

Hi Claree, wouldn't say I shout at the radio..........although I do sing along (usually in private in the car!) at the top of my voice, thinking I'm sounding wonderful.....truth is I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.:rotfl:

I reserve shouting solely for the football phone in shows. I know that makes me 1 step away from the morons that phone in but by god they annoy me :rotfl:

I also sing, to 90s pop, loudly :D
